French Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
I would give this 4.5 stars. Part of why I wouldn't give it 5 is beacuse it still seemed a little too dense for french bread. I did rush the rising a bit as I was running out of time to finish it. I would definately try again and make sure it has all the rising time called for. Great flavor.

Five Ingredient Ice Cream

This was good, mine came out a bit icy that is why I couldn't give it 5 stars. I will probably try again, though!

Popularity Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
AMAZING!! Tastes like Almond Roca, but even better! So simple. I used saltines and popped them into the freezer for 30 minutes, they were perfect. I think they taste better straight from the fridge or freezer. These will be on my cookie tray this year!

Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Really good simple flourless cake! You would never know there were garbanzo beans! I added a chocolate ganache over the top, that really made it, in my opinion. It did crumble around the sides and seemed a bit delicate.

Cheese Dip with Beer

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Really good! Very rich and thick. I would suggest leaving it on the stove over very low heat or in a small crock pot. It did seem to thicken all of the sudden. Really good with carrots, and melba toast. Added fresh chopped garlic and left out the salt.

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Good basic recipe. Used all chicken broth and left out water, I didn't taste much of the dill. UPDATE: Made it again, this time doubling the batch. It called for 1Tsp of pepper I used smoked pepper. It was way too spicy. Next time I will cut back to 1/2 tsp.

Crusty French Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Great rolls. I skipped using the egg and used only water, next time I will try it with the egg. Cooked it the first time for 12 minutes then brushed with more water then baked for 5 more minutes. Made 12 rolls.

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Amazing, one of my family's favorite cookies. I make these a couple times a year, especially in the fall. I also only use one tsp of soda and substitute nutmeg for the cloves. I never seem to have cloves in the house.

Foil-Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
I wasn't crazy about this, it didn't taste like anything special. The sauce wasn't really a sauce and sort of congealed around the chicken even though I cut the amount of cornstarch in half.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
Good cookies. Baked just as written and came out perfect. I did put the dough in the fridge for about 45 minutes because I was too busy to bake them right away. Came out puffy and chewy and just a bit crispy around the edges.
