Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
Was wonderful! I used 2 bags of boil-in-a-bag rice which I think equaled 2 cups uncooked. Other than that I made as written, and everyone loved it. It fed eight and there were leftovers, it makes a lot!

Bavarian Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This rating is for the filling only. I used a traditional crust. The filling was awesome! Everyone at my family's Easter loved it. It does need to be eaten within a daythough or it starts to get runny. Will make again

Lemon Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
It was good but not really any different than preparing the mix the traditional way. It wasn't dense like a pound cake, just regular cake density. I will keep looking for a lemon pound cake that uses cake mix as a base

Easy Chicken Enchilada Crescent Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Perfect as written. Didn't change a thing! I baked in a 11 x 15 pan and was glad I did. They puffed up nicely and would have been to close together in a 9 x 13. The whole family loved them!

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
It was good, but I tasted the beer and am not a beer fan. I used a light beer. I also tryed with Mike hard Limeade in place of the beer and it was really good.

Broccoli Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
I would have given 5 stars except I edited the recipe as per suggestions. I used 3 cups of cheese, left out the extra 1/2 cup of water, and used 1/2 cup of potato flakes to thicken because I didn't have any cornstarch. It was fantastic!

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
way too bland as written, no one even finished their 1st slice... and my family love bread! Made a 2nd time with 1/3 cup sugar and added onion, garlic and italian seasoning and was much better. I will keep looking for a better recipe.

No Cook Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
I did not care for this recipe. I beat this on high for 15 minutes in my kitchen aid mixer w/ the wisk attachment & it never turned into anything but a brown stick mess.

Pro Ganache

This was only so-so. I followed the recipe perfectly. I will give it one more chance & will try whipping it after it cools. As is, I wouldn't make it again.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
These were a hit with the whole family! Great for families with egg allergies! Made exact recipe but I doubled the recipe & made them in a regular size muffin tin (I don't have a mini muffin tin). I baked them for 22 min. They didn't brown on the top but a toothpick came out clean when testing them. Doubling the recipe yeilds 12 regular size muffins. Will make again.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
I made this for my Ice tea loving husband. I have NEVER liked hot or cold tea, but I always try it to make sure it is sweet enough for him. I thought I would try this because I always have trouble with my tea getting cloudy. I was SHOCKED when I tasted it & it was really good. I guess adding the baking soda made all the difference in the world. I guess I am now a tea drinker!

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
These were not good. I make a lot of biscuits for my family & thought I'd try something different. Big mistake. They didn't rise & were very dense... hockey puck like. I did not over mix, that was NOT the problem. I use "baking Powder biscuits II" from this site. They are great with a handful of cheddar & a clove of garlic added to the batter.
