About this Cook
I'm a stay-at-home mother of 6 beautiful children, ages 3-12. I have a wonderful, caring husband who helps out whenever he can, but seldom with meal time!! Fortunately, I only have one picky eater out of the bunch!
My favorite things to cook
I've mastered macaroni salad and fried potatoes to my familys taste. My husband also loves my squash casserole and home made mashed potatoes. Lemon poppy-seed chicken and peaches & cream dessert are also among our favorites.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to cook things that are quick, but that don't lack in nutrition or flavor. I like making baked goods with my little ones, and the crock pot is my best friend due to busy days and lots of kids!
My cooking triumphs
I have learned to cut back on my favorites: sugar, butter, salt, etc. (all of the unhealthy, but SO GOOD ingredients). I've also come to realize, if you didn't perfect a recipe, tinker with it until you do!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made a Thanksgiving turkey, I cooked it breast side down and didn't even realize it! On the upside it was a very juicy turkey! And to this day, my sweet potato casserole needs improvement in it's texture and consistency!

Puppy Chow
My kids ask for this atleast once a month! I make mine with butter, and a little vanilla though. It is SO ADDDICTIVE! I only wish it weren't so unhealthy! It probably wouldn't taste so good if it were! LOl Oh, well. You only live once!

Elvis Cookies
These cookies are just okay. They are good for using up over-ripe bananas, but they do have a different kind of flavor. I used less butter, and less sugar after reading reviews. My kids like them, but I won't make them more than a few times a year.
