Banana-Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
WOW!!! This was fantastic!! Hands down the best bread I have EVER had!! I can't even explain it but the bananas added just something extra texture and flavor wise that really amps up your normal zucchini bread!

Slow Cooker Veggie-Beef Soup with Okra

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
I thought this was pretty good, nothing fantastic, just pretty good. My husband, however was VERY pleased with it and my two year old that only likes mac and cheese ate 2 bowls! So it gets a five because the family was happy and it was very easy to make. I did add 2 cans of water and 2 beef bullion cubes. I also just used a bunch of different frozen veggies I had. (I save small amounts of leftover veggies and freeze them for soups like this) I also cooked on low for 6 hours.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
Oh my gosh this was so good! I did add a little cayenne pepper because I like a little spice. Also, we had no hamburger buns so we used hot dog buns, interesting but it worked and everybody left the table full! I WILL make it again, probably next week!

Fabulous Canned Fruit Frappes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
Very good! I was looking for a change from my normal bagged frozen fruit smoothie. So I used a can of maderine oranges some plain yogurt and some orange juice. I also used 2 teaspoons of vanillia in hopes that it would taste like a dreamcicle. Its pretty close! Great idea!

So good! I baked at 425 for 20 minutes then broiled for 5. Fantastic. Would pay money to eat that and then go brag to my friends about the wonderful meal I had.

This was so yummy. I did not make the bread from scratch. I used the Pilsbury French loaf. Yum and easy.

Well don't tell my boyfriend but he had the most horrible and annoying cough, he swears cough medicine doesn't help and refuses to make a dr. apt. Sooo, I made this drink for him about 45 mins ago and I have not heard a cough from him yet!

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2012
Not really a good substitute for brownies. Maybe if you've never had any other kind of brownie these would be great. But I don't think they're really good, they are edible though. Its not the taste of the black beans for me its the texture I think. My husband didn't like them and neither did my twins.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
This was so good and so easy! I baked mine in the oven for 40 mins at 425, I pre-heated my pan then put my chicken (I used quarters) skin side down so it crisped up nicely. At about 20 min I squeezed a whole lime over it than flipped and back in the oven. When it was done I squeezed half a lime over it. YUMMY!

Pat's Baked Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I made this for Recipe Group: This was pretty good, a little different but pretty good. We smoked a brisket and had people over I had a few people ask what was in it but no one gave out compliments on it. I liked it though. I used shredded cheese and I did prepare ahead of time but other than that I followed it exact.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
These were very good. I made three batches. One with the seasoned salt (I over salted but still good) one with soy sauce and one with balsamic vinegar. The vinegar one was my favorite but they were all wonderful!

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
This were good. I like the taste a lot. Everyone is right, the texture is kinda weird. I used room temp egg whites and it still seemed like it took forEVER to peek, which caused me to get bored, which caused me to get curious. So I added 2 drops of pink food coloring and about 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. I put the mix in a ziplock bag, cut the corner and piped them onto my foil lined cookie sheet, all the while talking about how I needed pastry bag for Christmas! I cooked them for the specified time, shut off the oven and let them stay there overnight. They came out picture perfect and very tasty. A simple recipe that I will use again and again!

Chicken and Corn Medley

Pretty good but I felt like it was missing something. When I make it again I think I will use cilantro instead of basil and maybe a little chopped jalepeno.
