Firecrackers

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
These are so crazy. I broke off a bit to try and it was so good I broke off a bigger peice because there was no way it should be that good! But it was. Its that awesome mixture of salty sweet hot that makes you want more. You don't really get the hot taste til after you've swallowed it so then you think, oh I'd better have another peice...

Southern Fried Chicken Gizzards

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Really good! Very tender. I did have to add more salt after I cooked them. And I slathered mine in hot sauce but everything else I kept the same.

Pat's Baked Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I made this for Recipe Group: This was pretty good, a little different but pretty good. We smoked a brisket and had people over I had a few people ask what was in it but no one gave out compliments on it. I liked it though. I used shredded cheese and I did prepare ahead of time but other than that I followed it exact.

Super-Duper Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This was great! I put mine in the crockpot for about 6 hours. I used 2 lbs of beef, and I used a can of Rotel with green chilis and a few spoonfuls of salsa instead of the jar of salsa. I also added some extra spices like paprika and some cumin. And I sauteed up some onion and garlic with the beef. This has it all for chili. The cheese, the beef, the beans, the consistancy is not too thick and not too thin. Great! I will enter this in the chili cookoff this year. UPDATE: I won 2nd in the chili cookoff with this recipe

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
Awesome! Very very good. And pretty easy. I mistakenly added the BBQ sauce to the mango mixture immediately but it still worked well. I served with fried okra and cheesey hashbrown casserole.

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
So delicious. Very comforting. I didn't drain the tomatoes just dumped the whole thing in. I also added more spices, just a bit of this and that. I agree its best with garlic bread to soak up the juices. Yum!

Juicy Butt Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
Very good! I put the steaks in my crockpot for about 4 hours after I browned them. The only problem I had was the meat was falling apart as I took it out! I served with spinach and some mashed potatoes. Soooo good.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Very good! I do think cilantro would be better than oregano. I used white corn tortillas and I think that makes it better. I also added a can of corn. I also spiced it up a bit with some ground red pepper, cumin and paprika.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
This was so good and so easy! I baked mine in the oven for 40 mins at 425, I pre-heated my pan then put my chicken (I used quarters) skin side down so it crisped up nicely. At about 20 min I squeezed a whole lime over it than flipped and back in the oven. When it was done I squeezed half a lime over it. YUMMY!
