About this Cook
I'm a mom of two of the pickiest eaters on the planet. Between them and work I have very little time to cook so I'm always looking for quick and easy recipes that are healthy and filling.
My favorite things to cook
Holiday meals. I like to mix new dishes with our family's traditional ones.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Once a year I cook lasagne for my entire family. They love it!
My cooking triumphs
Mastering my mother's peach cobbler.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make egg rolls. It wasn't a good idea to stack them on top of each other after filling the rolls before they were cooked. It became one big gooey pile. I've also learned cooking cow tongue and letting your family see the entire process is a great way to turn them into vegetarians.

Waldorf's Sour Cream Cheesecake
Terrific! I wouldn't change a thing. I didn't even have an opportunity to take a picture because my family devoured it too soon. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf
I did not think this would come out good because it was so "gloppy" when I mixed it. I'm glad I was wrong. If you're not worried about calories try this with the "pot roast gravy" on this website (1 pack brown gravy, 1 pack Italian salad dressing, 1 pack Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 1/2 cups of water). I know it sounds weird but it's absolutely AMAZING...I have to get another slice:) !!

Slow Cooker Pot Roast
Absolutely delicious. My father who's even more picky than my 5 year old loved it so much he requested I make it for his 80th birthday next week. And cutting down on the sodium doesn't take away from the flavor one bit.
