My cooking tragedies
Made delicious curry beef pot pie on New Year's Day with leftover prime rib cooked for Christmas Day. Left pie to cool on rack on counter (set well back) and went out to watch Polar Bear Swim (which never did materialize!). When we got home, our dog had knocked the pie off of the counter and eaten almost everything! It smelled so good cooking - it was sure to be as delicious as it smelled. Our dog was in the "dog house" for the rest of the day. Happy New Year!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I
I'm eating this right now! Yummy. I substituted sour cream for ceasar dressing and I added the holy trinity - onion, celery, carrot - sauted - it's very good. (And I used Panko instead of buttered crackers). Lots of flavour. Thanks.

Roasted and Curried Butternut Squash Soup
I'm eating this right now. It's delicious. I made one change: I used coconut milk (lite) instead of yogurt and part of the veg broth. It's very flavourful. (Also used cumin, coriander, paprika instead of oregano, cinnamon, nutmeg (guess that's more than one change.)

Baked Seafood Au Gratin
I made this last night and it is delicious. I used a bottle of pure clam juice instead of water and the flavour was wonderful. I will definitely make this again. Served on basmati rice with steamed brocolli with garlic slivers. Healthy and Yummy.
