Boiled Lobster

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
This was great! The lobsters came out really good. The only thing I messed up was that I started up the water kind of late during dinner. Well, that amount of water takes quite a bit of time to start boiling! That's my bad - the recipe relly is perfect.

Easy, quick and delicious. I made no alterations only that I served regular maple syrup in addition to the blueberry syrup.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
French Onion soup has been one of my favorite dishes ever since I was a kid. My dad and I used to have a bowl after sailing in this little houseboat restaurant right near the harbour. It has never come out this good before. I substituted a milder french cheese and added some cheddar. I also glazed the onions with a bit of maple syrup. REALLY good.

Ma Lipo's Apricot-Glazed Turkey with Roasted Onion and Shallot Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I used the apricot-glaze to go on my Thanksgiving turkey this year. It was perfect. As a main recipe I used the "Perfect Turkey" recipe. The glaze gave a nice contrast to the hearty taste of the wine and the veggie and herb mix used in the other recipe. It was a nice refreshing contrast that everyone enjoyed.

Cioppino

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This is a great recipe! I used all fresh ingedients and only made a few alterations. I didn`t use chicken stock but added a few more spices for taste. I also used a little bit mor wine. I added the seafood seperately and then let simmer on low heat for a little while so the different flavors could mingle together. I also used cubed swordfish instead of cod.

Louisiana Crab Dip

I made this dip as an appetizer for company. Everone loved it. I thought it was a little to heavy on the horseradish. Therefore only four stars.
