Chocolate Covered Brownie Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This was my second time trying to melt chocolate in a regular sauce pan, so I'm pretty sure I did it wrong since it came out burned and tasting funny. But I really like the idea, so I'm going to keep trying to get the chocolate melted just right! I would love some advice on how to melt chocolate nicely if anyone has any! And it's fun to decorate the little bite-sized brownies. :3

Vanilla Crispies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This was a great treat! They were very yummy, which was surprising because I don't normally like sugar cookies! I followed one suggestion to make sandwich cookies with the sides dipped in sprinkles, and I made some with vanilla frosting, some with frosting and sprinkles, and left some plain. They turned out really cute and festive looking!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This was my first time making fudge by myself, and I was so worried that it would turn out horrific, but it didn't. I slightly burned it (I think maybe from not using a double boiler), but since I substituted crushed peppermints for the nuts, you couldn't really tell. :3 I took some to work, warned everyone that it was my first batch of fudge, and it was still gone in a few hours! :3 I was so happy! Thanks for this recipe. I'm going to work at it some more to get it just right!

Jeanne's Chocolate Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
THESE ARE AWESOMELY AMAZING!!!!!! I just made them for my coworkers, but I might keep them for me! lol I didn't have the Hershey's kisses, so I made them like normal cookies, just slightly pressing them with a glass before baking them. SO YUMMY!!! :D

Powdered Sugar Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
This was a good recipe, but it had too much flour for my taste- came out a little dry, so next time I'll use a little less or just bake them for a shorter amount of time. :3 But other than that, they're pretty good. I rolled them all in different colors of sugar first before I put them in to bake and rolled a few in cinnamon sugar. :3 Yummy!

Chinese Almond Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
This was a very good cookie to make, and it tastes very good, too! I prefer mine a little sweeter (hence the four stars), but they taste great! They were a great addition to the cookie gifts I gave for Christmas. I did double the almond extract, and I'm glad I did- the almond taste was great!

Lemon Snowballs Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
This is a great cookie! The only thing is, I can't eat more than one at a time because they're so rich! :3 They were easy to make, and they taste just like the cookies I loved when I was a kid (and still do!)! :) They're wonderful tasting, and they look great mixed with a bunch of others in gifts. :3 I added a little extra lemon juice and zest simply because I like a big taste of lemon!

Banana Split Cake II

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
My mom has been making this amazing cake for years, and I absolutely LOVE this dessert! Instead of using crushed vanilla wafers, though, she always used graham cracker crumbs. *yummy* But the vanilla wafers sound interesting, so I'll probably try that soon! When you make this cake, it's best to let the fruits lay out on a paper towl while you prepare the rest; that way, the juices don't ruin the appearance of it. Enjoy this delicious cake!!! :)

Mother's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
i givethis recipe a four because it was almost there!! i altered the recipe after reading some suggestions from other users: i added a 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and an extra banana. however, i think it could still use another banana. even with the extra bit, it still was lackluster in the banana area. but the smell coming from my oven during and after it baking is heavenly! and it did taste pretty yummy, too! ^w^

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
The texture on these is great-- nice and chewy-moist with just enough crunch on the outside, but I'm afraid I didn't really find the flavor too outstanding. It kind of fell flat compared to many other brownie recipes I've tried. But it is good for a quick recipe, I'll give it that! :)

Open-Faced Turkey Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
This was really good! I like stuff spicy, though, so I added a bunch of extra stuff-- onions, a lil chili powder, etc. I also added a lil shredded cheese to the turkey while it was still hot to make it melt a bit-- tasted really yummy! It was great on a taco, too! :D

Ghirardelli® Dark Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 28, 2010
this is a pretty good cupcake. :) it's light, fluffy, and moist (even without the coffee, which i don't like). the only thing i would say is that i would like more of a chocolate flavor. so i think next time i may add in something extra (to replace that coffee, too.). :)

Butter Balls I

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
oh, man, these are good! i followed the recipe exactly, aside from using just plain white sugar and cinnamon to roll the dough in before putting it in the oven, and they came out delicious! i was in a pinch for a recipe for a party for tomorrow, and my original baking plan fell through, and these were just the ticket. :) will definitely be making these again. :3 a side note, though-- they didn't make all that many cookies though, but you could easily double the recipe to get more. ;)
