About this Cook
I am 46 yrs old and have a husband and 4 lovely children(all grown up) Ever since I was about the age of 9 I began to help in the kitchen ,I was in charge of cleaning the kitchen, that was my chore for many yrs until I left home. I always watched my mother cook, and when I was around my grandmother I always asked questions about her dishes. One day mom needed surgery on her feet and was hospitalized ,that is when I first took care of the family and cooked for them until my mother came home from the hospital.Ater that every time i saw someone cooking a dish I liked ,I asked questions and that is how I gained my experience,My first cooking job was at a place called El Pollo Loco or the crazy chicken, that is where I first felt that I really wanted to do this for a living. I always considered it a hobby until my first job after that it became an obsession to learn the different cuisines, and learn as much as i can. My dream to this day is to open my own Mexican restaurant.
My favorite things to cook
Believe it or not besides Mexican I also love Italian. I love to cook Authentic Mexican dishes like Chiles Rellenos, Pork Tamales, Gorditas, Enchiladas. I love a good recipe and I really do not discriminate any food .I do have to say I cannot eat seafood but that does not mean i can't cook it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mexican Dishes
My cooking triumphs
Having the opportunity to have my own food stand in the Market House in my town. I am not there any more due to expansion possibilities but I loved it , and the people loved my food. I always needed more food and more hands to help out .
My cooking tragedies
Oh I know everyone has these , I used to think i was exempt but the more I want to try and do and experiment ,I have had my share of mistakes . That is part of learning. Even an expert messes up!

Hawaiian Bread II
The only reason i rated it 4 stars was because ,the cake batter was hard to handle due to it being more like cake batter, instead of putting on a floured surface ,which i couldn't do I deflated in the bowl and when it came to pouring i used a big spoon and divided it into equal pans, the result as you can see in my picturewas wonderful,I loved it!!
