Mardi Gras King Cake

My family loved this king cake . I used a cream cheese filling also . It turned out really good . I used 2 blocks of cream cheese softened w/ 3 Tablespoons of flour , 2 teaspoons on vanilla and 2 Tablespoons of milk . mix untill creamy and spread over other filling . I think I will used stawberry and the cream cheese filling next time .

Beignets

This is great recipe .I used a brown lunch bag filled with powdered sugar . It remind's me of Cafe Du Monde's beignets in New orleans . I like to eat beignets with Chicory coffee .

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

great recipe ! I changed it a little I mixed the sugar and butter mixture with apple's and then made a crumb topping . It turned out great !

I have been making this for years a wonderful New Orleans dessert .I used a 1/4 cup of banana rum instead of liquer . I served mine with french vanilla ice cream .

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Great recipe ! I made this for Thanksgiving and Easter . I made filling the day before and put it in the fridg. the next day I just put it in the pan and added topping . It was easier this way . This taste kind of like sweet potato pie . YUMMY

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

This was a really good recipe for etouffe . I added more hot sauce because I love hot food . I have made this with chicken too . Serve with rice and french bread its a meal !

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

This is a very good recipe ! I made mine a little different but it still turned out great . I halfed the recipe and used bread machine yeast and used bread flour and made the dough in a bread machine and then put the swirl on cinnamon and baked it in a oven . It turned out great !

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls

Cajun Seafood Pasta

I loved this recipe ! I used dried basil and tyme because I didn't have fresh on hand also added 2 cloves of garlic minced and 1 teaspoon of cajun spice . I love seafood so I added 1 extra cup of shrimp . I also used mozorella instead og swiss . MAKE SURE YOU ADD SEAFOOD LAST . You don't want to over cook it .

Remoulade Sauce a la New Orleans

Great recipe ! I couldn't find scallions so I used 3 tablespoons of chopped onions . I also used dried parsley and bottled lemon juice . It still turned out really good . Next time I will use fresh . It is also best the next day .
