Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Let me start of by saying that I can't stand pumpkin pie. I LOATHE it. However, every thanksgiving my family wants me to make them a pumpkin pie, since I guess my pies rock. XD I don't know exactly how this one tasted... but I ended up making THREE pies with this recipe. My family loved this pie so much, I'm going to have to make it for Christmas too.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I've used this recipe twice now for Thanksgiving... Last year, it came out beautiful. My mom doesn't like pumpkin pie, but she LOVED this one. The texture was great... this is big in my texture-sensitive family! The only difference I made was I seasoned it to taste. Excellent recipe!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
FIVE STARS! This is the best Brittle recipe! It is sooo good. Not too sweet, a little salty, and crunchy! I didn't have any problems with this recipe. The trick is a candy thermometer... without it, it would be really hard to get it to the hard crack stage by eye balling it. Now... I'd like to try making a mixed nut brittle with this! Yummy!

Butterscotch Drops

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
These are so good! They are super rich, I can only eat one with a big glass of milk... My girlfriend though can eat the entire batch to herself! She absolutely loves them. Instead of using corn flakes, I used rice crispy cereal. I have not tried the cornflakes, but I personally really enjoy the rice crispy cereal!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
We made this last year as a holiday treat we passed out to co-workers. I'm not sure how my co-workers liked them... but we sure did LOVE them at home. It was the perfect combo of sweet and salty. I can't wait to make them again this year!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This is one of those things that just sounded so weird that my mom and I had to try it! We were a little skeptical... but these turned out fabulous. We used yellow cake and coconut almond frosting. Yummmy!

Divinity

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
Oh my gosh! This is amazing. I didn't even know what Divinity was until today. I decided to make it because it seemed challenging. It was also one of my grandmother's favorite candies. I followed the directions to the T. It came out perfect! My first spoonful looks so beautiful, almost like a smooth meringue! The other ones look a little more lumpy and sticky... I moved too slow. I can't express how excited I am that this came out right on my first try! Not to mention... it's super yummy!

Soda Cracker Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This recipe is soooo delicious! I havn't tried it with the almonds, so I'll have to try this soon. When my mom made this, she also didn't allow it to boil before pouring it in the pan (i'm assuming this is what happened) and the mixture seperated. Still tasted great, but a funky texture.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
The texture was great... but I'm not a fan of cheese cake. The cream cheese made it taste like cheese cake to me. They were okay... but like I said, I'm not a fan of cheese cake. If you like a smooth texture and a little cheese cake flavor, this is for you!

Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
Yum! This recpie has been in my family for years. The only thing is that we don't use oil. It's not necessary. We just simply melt semi-sweet chocolate, pour it into pan. Then melt white chocolate, and mix in some crushed candy canes. (Mainly the powder that comes from crushing them.) Pour the white on the semi... and sprinkle some larger chunks of candy cane on top. Voi-la!

This was soooo good! I read through the reviews, and decided to use white sugar instead of brown. It taste's just like store bought caramels! Maybe even better!

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I'm not sure what came out wrong with this fudge, but when it was finished, it crumpled and just didn't look very appealing. It tasted great, however. I'll have to try this recipe again.

Black Halloween Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I loved this! I tried this at my last Halloween party. Everyone loved it. I added a mixture of food dyes though, because it did come out more brown than black... Another twist: why be limited to just grape and orange? I also tried this using a variety of dark colored kool-aids. Yummy! For the adults: a little splash of vanilla vodka makes this one a killer!

This was good... not great. I'm not a big fan of white chocolate, but this was still pretty good. I think there should be more peppermint though.

These are alright... My family and I made them this holiday season... but I don't think we need to make them again next year. They had a funky taste to me. :/
