I've never been the domestic type; my first venture ever into the world of home-cooking was this year's Thanksgiving (crazy, huh?). But it turned out great with help from all the recipes on this site.
Anyway, I must say I was nervous about the pasteurizing process, but this recipe turned out to be, well, truly amazing, even in the hands of a novice cook! I had to used freshly grated nutmeg instead of ground (four stores in our neighborhood were completely sold out, hehe), and I left out the rum. Simply delicious, with just the texture I was looking for. I'll continue to make this for the Holidays from now on, God willing.
