The chicken had delicious flavor! This recipe turned out great. I gave four stars because I had to alter it quite a bit. I have a very new crock pot, so the cooking time took 4.5 hours on LOW for a 4.5 pound bird. As some other reviewers suggested, I tripled the sauce, didn't add any olive oil, and used more than half a bulb of an elephant garlic. I used Bragg's liquid amino instead of soy sauce (as I often do) and used half real maple syrup because I was low on honey. I also put a sliced onion, carrots and parsnips at the bottom. I made sure to turn the breast a couple of times just to make sure all sides were covered. The meat fell of of the bones just fine with 4.5 hours on LOW! The carrots needed more time than the chicken! I used the sauce to make gravy, and had compliments from my friends as well as their children who are 4 and 6. I'm still a novice with my slow cooker (just so used to the stove) and I will make this one again. Thanks!
