I've never had Tikka Masala before, so I can't compare this recipe to what it is "supposed" to be. All I know is it is absolutely delicious. I've made this several times now, and yes of course don't add anywere near the amount of salt. I'm not deducting a star for that because it does say "or to taste." I use half-n-half instead of heavy cream since I thought the heavy cream made it too rich. I like heat so I usually add at least 1 other jalapeno to the sauce. That combo of dried cayenne in the marinate and fresh pepper in the sauce is nice. So far I've only broiled the chicken and it comes out wonderful that way. Oh, and serve with Jasmine rice, my favorite with this. Nummmm.
