Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken
I made this last night, but I adjusted the recipe to suit my family's tastes. I only used 3 tblsp soy sauce. To make up for the liquid, I added 1 tblsp Chinese cooking wine,(sherry would work too,) and also 1 tblsp sesami oil. I increased the amount of cayenne pepper to 1/4 tsp and only used one green onion. Also, I added that green onion during the last few minutes of cooking since my family is not fond of the raw onion taste. The family loved this dish and I'll make it again.

Chicken Pot Pie VIII
Wonderful comfort food! I parboiled the potatos and carrots, and added 1/2 cup frozen peas. I used my standard pie crust recipe since I didn't have lard in the house. The pie came out very runny, but no one seemed to care, it was that good. Next time I'll try a higher temperature, my oven may be on the cool side.

Deep Fried Shrimp
I had no problems making this recipe. If you only want to make one pound of shrimp then scale the recipe for one serving. This amount would make a good side dish for 4, or appetizers for about 6. We found this recipe bland, so be sure to have cocktail sauce or tarter sauce on hand. I'll keep looking for a good deep fried shrimp recipe to serve to guests.
