I've made these several times now. If you follow the directions these are super EASY to make and very tasty! The only thing I did different the second time around, was to cut back on the brown sugar and add a pinch of cinnamon. These are always a big hit in my family. I prepare the mixture first, wrap, set aside, heat oil and begin.

It's been a long time since I baked homemade bread. This recipe was very simple and it came out GREAT! I followed the directions to a T and it was perfect!

I was looking for a Ham and Bean recipe like the one my Grandmother used to make. I saw all the great reviews and thought I'd try this one, even though it calls for sugar, which I don't remember ever being in ham and beans I had ever eaten. I tried it anyway. My husband and I thought it was just OK at best. It was WAY to sweet. I felt like I had made homemade Pork n Beans instead of ham and beans. I'm beginning to wonder now if purhaps that's what people call it. Even as a Pork n Bean dish, it wasn't very good at all. I wont be making this ever again. Instead I'll leave out the sugar and see if that is more to what Im looking for.
