Cucumber-Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
This is a delightful, fresh tasting sauce with a twist. I put it over angel hair pasta. My husband and I enjoyed the flavors. My advice is to taste the sauce after 2 tsp. of sugar are added and decide if you want to add the rest. I stopped at 2 1/2, any more would have been way too much for our taste.

Chicken Pot Pie VI

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
We LOVED this! We made it for some friends we had over for dinner. We'd never made chicken pot pie before. After reading a couple of reviews we decided to add in some cooked and diced potato to take up some of the sauce. Delicious and we already bought the ingredients to make it again. Thanks for the recipe!

Cucumber Ham Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
I thought these were really good. The cream cheese mixture is very tasty. However, not everyone liked them as much and I had leftovers after I served them at a baby shower.

Pumpkin Pie Bars by EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Followed the recipe, just added alittle more spice. But, this was just OK for me, nothing great or outstanding. I was going to grease the pan as suggested in other reviews and forgot and that was a big mistake. Sticks bad! It is better the next day with whipped cream. Glad I tried it once but probably won't again.

Spinach Pesto Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
We LOVED this. Very easy. I gave it 4 stars because I took reviewers advice and salt and peppered the chicken first and doubled the pesto. After it was done I sprinkled lemon juice over all.

Citrus Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
We brined our turkey for the first time and followed this recipe adding 1/2 c. brown sugar as suggested in some reviews. It turned out so moist and nice. Will definately do this again. The only thing is that the brine smelled so good but none of the flavor is in the turkey when its cooked. Perhaps all that's needed is the salt and water.

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
I made this as written. It wasn't actually my favorite. To us we didn't think the onion soup and the cream of mushroom soup taste went with the sweetness of the cola. You can definatley taste the sugar and we just didn't care for it as much as leaving the cola out. I was disappointed because the reviews were so good. Won't make it this way again.

Lemon Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
This was just ok for me. The lemon is good in it and it is moist, we just prefer our own zucchini recipe that I always use. Just wanted to try something different. I made it exactly like the recipe said. It's a little bland. Won't try again.

Cheesy Baked Cauliflower

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
Very good recipe. I'd had one similar years ago but had lost. I'm glad I found it again. I steamed for about 15 min. then baked it for 15 minutes. Any more and it would have fallen apart too much. I also didn't use the butter but I doubled the sauce and used cheddar cheese.

Asian-American Slaw With Peanuts and Jalapenos

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
I made this exactly as written. The sauce is a little funky tasting for me, but everyone at the dinner party loved it and one guest asked to take the leftovers home.

Mary's Pecan Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Ya know I really wanted to like this, but honestly the cinnamon is out of place. The chicken was nice and juicy and it looked great. I'm going to try this again omitting the cinnamon and I think it will be just right. I made it just as the recipe called for.

Baked Tomatoes Oregano

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Good and different to do with all those garden tomatoes. Next time I will put the cheese on just long enough to melt as. The cooking time was too long. I followed the other reviews and cooked it @ 350 for 10 min. then turned the broil on for just a minute to brown.

Pumpkin Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
This is very tasty. I took the advice of some other reviews and cut back on the sugar to 1 1/2 c., used less cloves and more cinnamon. I also peeled and chopped 2 apples and stirred in. Used pecans instead of walnuts. Will make again. Nice fall treat. Gave it 4 stars because I made the changes.

We made these for a big family breakfast and everyone really liked them. They have a definate yeast flavor and are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Very Yummy, everyone loved it,even my kids that hate creamed corn. I ended up adding a can of corn about an hour before we ate because there was a lot of sauce. I also stirred it a few times during cooking as suggested in the reviews. A new family favorite.

This was very delicious. As other reviewers, was a bit bland so I doubled the cayenne and sauted onion and added to it. Perfect.
