Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

These yummy cookies come out perfect for me everytime, regardless of age of baking soda or cream of tartar. Just used these two ingredients that were a year old and cookies still came out perfect. I bake at 400 for exactly 8 min take out of oven and whether I remove immediately from cookie sheet or let rest before removing makes no difference. I use small cookie scoop that makes 1 in balls and makes 45 cookies. They flatten out some but not too much. Like I said, perfect everytime!! Very easy to make. I do increase the sug/cinn mixture to the 3T/3t and that's just enough.

Spicy Maple Baked Beans

These beans were great! Had my family over for dinner and each member had 3 or 4 helpings. Only changes I made was using country ham (which added a good salty flavor) and added green pepper. Also added 2T cornstarch as we like our beans nice and thick. Will now use this recipe every time I make baked beans

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

You know, I never make comments on anything over the internet..but have to on this recipe. I was unbelievably surprised! Following the directions to a tee (except using my own rub for the meat) this eye of round came out perfectly! My husband is in the food business and was also amazed that an eye of round could come out so tender and juicy and very full of flavor. We like our meat medium and it came out slightly pink. For those who like it more done I would suggest turning on the oven to 350 after the 2 1/2 hours and check the temperature after 20 min. I'll also try this method for other types of roast as well.
