My favorite things to cook
I love making fried chicken now, any kind of leftover recipe, anything that seems like a challenge.
My cooking triumphs
My husband has loved everything I've made so far! YES!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made fried chicken, I burned my hand with grease spatter =/. I still have a pink scar! War wounds!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast
I made this last night. I was using 2 pork sirloin roasts, so I doubled the rub recipe. I only used 1 TBS of kosher salt because I was worried about it being overly salty. It was perfect! My husband and I loved it, and will make this again and again. The only change I will make next time is adding a can of beef broth (as another reviewer suggested) so that there is more jus/gravy. Super happy with this recipe. Thank you!!

World's Best Lasagna
This was AMAZING! I'd never made lasagna before, so I was a little intimidated. This turned out to be the BEST I've ever had. I only made a few changes thanks to some other reviewers suggestions, and they were great. I cut down the sugar and salt, and instead of boiling the noodles, I just soaked them in very hot water for about 20-30 minutes before assembling. The sauce is very meaty, so next time I'm going to add smaller sized cans of the tomatoes/paste/sauce and bump up the spice amount a little bit. I'll also make the sauce the day before. I like letting things simmer, but doing it all at once is a bit tiring. THANK YOU to JohnChandler for this awesome recipe, and to all the reviewers for your help. This is MY lasagna recipe from now on!
