123 Green Tea Ice Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I was skeptical about this, especially since I got "green tea powder", not "matcha" at a chinese grocery store. But it worked out reeeeeally well.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Like other reviewers, I baked the bottom of the pie empty for a few minutes. I also used corn instead of peas. Instead of salt, and celery seed (which I couldn't find), I just used a teaspoon of celery salt instead. I also added 1/4 tsp of garlic powder.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
This was a good recipe for lasagna. But also not wow. Pretty standard, and good for a beginner. Spinach or something to jazz it up is always nice.

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This was pretty good. Took awhile to get it right... very little oil is needed, and pouring directly into the pan and very quickly rolling it around in the hot pan worked well (the less dough the better). Went through 3 pans before finding one the right size to turn these with a spatula without butchering them. Also went through 2 spatulas, the rubber flexible one was a nightmare, went with a thin metal one. Tried with ham/swiss and with nutella. Would try again, they did not crisp up like the ham ones I had in Paris though :(

Pan Fried Halibut Steak with Light Green Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
This was too lemony, but still good. I made it with shark meat instead. Next time (there probably won't be one), I would halve the amount of lemon.

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
One potato made one large plateful. Count on doing atleast 4 or 5 potatoes, since they are so delicious! They were so much better after being left to dry. My microwave took about 12+ minutes though.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
A solid recipe for garlic bread. I still prefer store bought, but this is cheaper and I know what's in it!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
The coating for this chicken was great. Really tasty and easy. I thought the tomato sauce really overpowered the taste of the parmesan unfortunately. I will probably make this again, but without the tomato sauce.

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
First off, I'm no expert in making bread. I made it once in high school and once in a bread machine. Many times I thought I'd messed this up, by not proofing correctly or overcooking. Just had a piece and it's heaven in my mouth! Great recipe, will make again for sure.

Basil-Lime Sorbet

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
This reaches a really nice consistency in the blender, just like sorbet. However it was waaaay too sweet for me. So I blended in some more water, lime and basil (everything but the sugar). This way you can modify it to your taste. Very refreshing. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't so sweet right off the bat.

Om Ali

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
This thickened up more after sitting in the fridge overnight. I don't know what this is supposed to taste like but it was good, just waaaaay too much sugar. I think you could safely halve it.

Pineapple Orange Sorbet

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
This really only tasted like frozen orange juice to me. My guests did like it, but it was better hacked up and mixed in with vanilla ice cream. I wouldn't make it again.

Balsamic Chicken and Fresh Mozzarella

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
Hard to go wrong with delicious ingredients. All of the ingredients are delicious and when the fresh mozzarella melts on the chicken, it's scrumptious.

Lebanese Lemon Salad Dressing

Not what I was hoping for. Had one at a restaurant that was supposedly these ingredients but it just wasn't the same somehow.

Easy and pretty delicious. Has a bit of an icy consistency but to be expected when you don't have an ice cream maker!

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
This was really easy to make but the taste was really mellow. A lot like authentic hollandaise? probably what it's supposed to taste like. But I am spoiled by restaurant and packaged hollandaise which have a lot more flavor.
