Garlicky Quinoa and Garbanzo Bean Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
Very good for the amount of effort required (which was very little). I added toasted slivered almonds for a bit more texture and was glad I did. Depending on your raw garlic tolerance you may wish to use only a small clove, or leave it out. If you've never tried raw broccoli, this is a good recipe in which to try it,

Caramel Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This was very good, but extremely rich and it made an enormous cake. I was worried about the frosting setting, but I left it to cool a second time after beating it a bit, and it turned opaque and solidified - a lot like fudge!

Best Buckwheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
These were very nice. They were easy to make and I got four 15cm diameter pancakes from the mixture - just the right amount for two for breakfast!

Creamy Zucchini with Linguine

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
This was very good, but I only got 2-3 serves out of it. Also the milk curdled, but it tasted OK. I only used about 3 tbsp of oil and the zucchini shrank so much that next time I'd use 3 or 4 of them.

Spicy Black Bean Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2005
Despite me overcooking the potatoes, this was still very good. Being vegetarian, I left out the bacon and I also substituted red pepper for green, pickled jalapenos for fresh (can't get fresh ones easily here) and Dijon mustard for brown mustard (don't know what that is). I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch today.

Richest Ever Chocolate Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
This was a nice, moist cake, but it could have been more chocolatey. It wasn't difficult to make. I used 2 tsp vanilla, b.t.w.
