These were great! My second attempt at making cornbread and the best I've made. I didn't change a thing. Perfect as it is! Thanks :)

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Very good but this true to it's name it's EXTREMELY chocolatey! My sister is a huge chocolate fan and she LOVED it. I halved the recipe and made too little cakes and iced them. Rich, chocolatey goodness. Try it and eat it and don't regret it!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
This is a good base recipe, I did make a bit of change in the sense I used 2 full eggs and 4 yolks and I used 1/4 cup of buttermilk instead of milk. I made them for a church sale and they were gone in 5 minutes! I used the fluffy white frosting from this site.

Fresh Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
This was amazing! I used tinned pineapples cause that's all I had at home so I reduced the sugar a bit, it was really tasty. The caramel base with the pineapple and the butter cake was so so good. It got over very soon :)

Apple Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
SO GOOD! You will love it! I had some apples at home that no one wanted to eat so I made these and yummmm, i've eaten two pieces already. I added 1/2 tsp vanilla as well. And mine is a bit gooey so i don't have nice square slices but it tastes so good I don't think anyone will mind the shape! Thanks BakerJim!

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2010
This is really tasty and easy to make. I had some apples at home and decided to make something apple-y. I doubled the amount of apple to 1 cup and i didn't have any walnut at home so i used 1/4 cup of raisins and a bit of oats as well. Can't wait to try it with walnuts! I'm taking it to my Bible study now!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
SO GOOD! I just ate my second slice now and I'm scared I'll eat more!! Like other reviewers said, i added one teaspoon cinnamon and vanilla. Sadly, I didn't have enough pastry for the lattice but it's still REALLY good! Thanks Grandma Ople!

Lemon Custard Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
This tasted good but the consistency wasn't so good, it was way too liquidy and i had to bake it for much longer to even get the custard consistency. Other than that it tasted good tho a bit too sweet!

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
I tried this last night when my cousins and grandma came for dinner. I skipped the gravy. I actually asked our cook to make it and gave her instructions and instead of 1 tsp of pepper she used 1tbsp. And we didnt have garlic powder at home so she rubbed crushed garlic over the chicken first. It came out very well. My grandmom said she loved the peppery taste when i told her we put too much pepper. My little cousin ate like 3 pieces and told me he's coming over today for leftovers.. too bad we don't have any!!

Keema (Indian-Style Ground Meat)

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
i'm indian and we make keema quite often. we mostly make it with beef or mutton. i think it needs more spices like jeera(cumin), dhania(coriander) and if you want it spicy maybe some chilli powder(i like my food extra hot!).add a couple of cinnamon sticks for a lovely aroma.
