Meatball Nirvana

We did add an egg to this recipe, a little bit more Italian seasoning since our bread crumbs were plain, and we skipped the red pepper, BUT WOW these were so great. We made them then put in the crock pot with sauce for several hours before eating them over angel hair pasta. We WILL use this recipe again.

Watermelon Salsa

I served this for a small "appetizers and drinks" party. It was a hit. The only problem is I'm addicted to it! I wasn't even sure if I'd like it, but I love it! Yum! For presentation we did use the V shaped knife and carve the watermelon to form the bowl, this let everyone know that the salsa was NOT tomato. A+ loved it.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I did not use the butter, I used mayo instead. Also I didn't use sugar, as I was making my grandmother's stuffing or Thanksgiving, so I didn't want the cornbread to be sweet. I did use melted bacon grease in a hot iron skillet for baking. I had to double the recipe so we could have half to eat and half for my stuffing.

Chicken Fried Chicken

I added a little milk and worstershire sauce to the eggs. I also sprinkled a little seasoning salt and cayenne pepper to the bare chicken before the dredges (I dredged & breaded the chicken twice). I also deep fried them at a very high heat in a dutch oven. Very quick and easy. Very good.

Chocolate Brittle Surprise

I used regular honey graham crackers, and no nuts (my kids won't eat them). I followed advice of others and only baked it 13 minutes. This is amazing... It will become a staple in our house.

Chocolate Eclair Cake

I followed the recipe exactly (except I did use honey graham crackers rather than chocolate)and when I make this again I will do it the same way. I did take another user's advice to make the topping first. That worked out perfectly. This was a huge hit with my group.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

We love this cheesecake.We did let everything get to room temp before we began combining the ingredients. We also added some more butter to the crust so it would press nicely. We also used a water bath on the rack below the cake. We sprayed the inside of the pan with cooking spray. It came out great! We baked it at night and left it in the oven over night after baking it for one hour (we did not touch the oven door)! We are very pleased with this cheesecake. We will make it again.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Great taste and easy to do. Kids loved them, as well as the adults. I used the "Sugar Cookie Icing" recipe on them and they were perfect. I didn't change a thing.

Sugar Cookie Icing

These were a huge hit at my job's chritmas party, as well as at home with the kids! I used this icing on the "The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies" recipe from this site... worked great together.

Pumpkin Cake II

As others suggested we used the full can of pumpkin, reduced the sugar to 1/2 c, added 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and of ground cloves, added 10 min to bake time (used a bundt pan). and This was a huge hit at our house. We will make this again.
