Bagels I

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
So, so, so good! This was my first attempt at making bagels, a venture I had been looking forward to for months. Though I spent all afternoon doing these(stupidly, I used a small pan that could only boil one bagel at a time) they were well worth the time and will be treasured as gold. To make them everything style, I sprinkled with dried, minced onion; poppy seeds; sesame seeds; and kosher salt. Eating them right out of the oven, they didn't even need to be toasted. Just smother with a little cream cheese and enjoy. In a nut shell, good recipe, easy to do, time consuming, but worth it if you have the time.

Granola Bars III

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
Considering this was my first attempt at making granola bars, I was pleased with the results. However, I wasn't so pleased that I would never consider a different recipe. My main dislike had to do with the sweetness. With all that sugar and honey, these bars are very sweet. It's fine if you are looking for a cookie dessert type of thing, but maybe not so great for a healthy snack. If you can get past that, then make them. They are fast to whip up and make a good sweet treat.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
Followed the recipe to a "T" except for the addition of chocolate chips(which really doesn't change much;)I enjoyed the dense, chewy, brownie texture, as well as the ease of the recipe. However, I think next time I will look for something a little more peanut buttery. These were yummy with just a hint of peanut butter, but I would like to see more.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
I made this cake after many failed attempts at producing a luscious, moist, chocolaty, cake. Homemade cakes have alsways been too dry for my taste. I actually preferred boxed cake mix- until I found this recipe! So easy to make, and wonderfully scrumptious! I've already put it in my recipe box to be made again and again.

Chococonut Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
Note: This is a review of the above recipe and how it turned out. Not my interpretation of it;) I made them just as the recipe said to, used unsweetened coconut since it didn't specify and loved the results. Nice chewy texture similar to an oatmeal cookie but with all the yuminess of coconut! I would highly recommend them and plan on making them again.
