This rice dish was excellent. It had alot of flavor and everyone commented on it. After reading other reviews, I made the following changes: First off, I made a large enough amount to feed 8 guests. I used one whole red pepper, diced. One chopped onion, 4 T. butter, one box of fresh mushrooms, 2 1/2 cups chicken broth, 1 cup rice, one teaspoon or so of basil, thyme and oregano, minced garlic and a teaspoon plus of brown sugar. I cooked all the veggies in butter, removed to a plate while I cooked the rice in the chicken broth per package directions, and then returned the veggies to the pan and let sit for 5 mins. Delish!
