Cranberry Sauce Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I was very impressed with this recipe. The only change I made was to use Thousand Island Dressing. I thought it was sooo yummy. My husband didn't like it as much as I did, but he does not like chicken thighs. Next time I will use chicken breasts.

Taco Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This dish was O.K. I didn't dislike it but I would not rate it at the top either. I did use a 24 oz jar of thick and chunky salsa and I am glad I did. I may make it again for an get together.

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
This dish was really good. Due to other reviews, the only changes I made was to use 4T instead of 5T for the butter and I decreased the bread crumbs to 1/2 cup (used Italian Panko B/C) and 2T oil vs. 4T. Will make again. YUM.....

Creamy Spinach Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
My dh loved this dish. I thought is was good but a little thick on the sauce. I used a 20 oz pkg of tortellini so I thought I better use the whole 8 ounce bar of cream cheese. Wish I had only used 1/2 to 3/4. I did add 1 cup of milk and used a bag of fresh spinach. I also used a can of diced tomatoes with zesty green chilies. Added minced garlic when frying the onion and added some Italian seasoning per other reviews. I guess I really changed this recipe alot after reading all the reviews. But I am giving it a five star cause my husband rated it 9.5 out of 10. Thanks for the recipe.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
My oh My! I have had this recipe in my recipe box for months and I just got around to trying it for supper last night. It was a BIG hit. My DH loved it! I used chicken breasts and doubled the sauce. Cooked in a 425 degree oven covered for 20 mins and uncovered for last 20 mins. So easy and makes a delicious meal. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the recipe......

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
WOW! This was really tasty. I made it for dinner last night and we loved it. The only changes I made was to use fettucini instead of penne pasta and I used only 1/2 t. of cayenne pepper because I was afried 1 t. would be too much. Will be making this again.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
I made this for dinner last night and my hb devoured it! It was very good and I will definitely make it again. I used cheese tortillas for the bottom (which I did not add to many because of the reviews) but I did not find they were soggy at all and my hb said I should have used more. The only change I made was to use red onion diced and added with the beef when frying and I did not use the green onion. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Unbelievable! This was sooo good! I made it for a house warming party and it was gone in no time. The flavor was delish! I cooked it overnight and shredded it in the morning. Left the meat in the juices and set the slow cooker to warm, until ready to eat. I used a 5 lbs roast with beef broth and two packages of italian salad dressing mix. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the awesome recipe......

Carla's Fruit Dip

This dip is awesome! I made it for a family cookout this weekend and it was so light and refreshing. The only change I made was to use an 8 oz tub of strawberry cream cheese. YUM!!!

Restaurant-Style Chicken Scampi

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I am giving this five stars because the concept was great, it was easy to make, but it was lacking in flavor. Next time I will up the quantity of spices I used. I did mix seasoning salt, pepper and garlic powder with the flour. I also added some basil along with the parsley to the sauce. Will give it another try.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
This recipe was excellent! I made it for a family reunion and everyone wanted the recipe. I researched several recipe sites to come up with the ingredients. I used a 4.68 lb. pork butt (cheaper cut of meat) and better for pulled pork. I sliced a large onion and put it on the bottom of the crock pot. Placed the pork on the onions and use a can of ginger ale to cook the pork in. Cooked it on low for 10 hrs. Drained the juice, chopped the onion and shredded the pork. Placed the pork and onion back in the crock pot and used a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ Sauce. Cooked on low for another couple of hours and served with buns. To be honest, most people did not use the buns, they just scooped the pulled pork up and put on their plate as a side. Wonderful!!!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I was a little disappointed with this recipe. I thought it lacked flavor. I did not rate this any lower because I had to use lime juice from a bottle cause I did not have a lime on hand. Next time I will use a real lime, add more garlic and add cumin per other reviewers.

Imitation Crabmeat Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
I did an extreme makeover to this recipe. It had nothing to do with this recipe, but the ingredients I had on hand and wanted to use. I am happy to say it received many rave reviews so I thought I would share it with you. First I used a 20 ounce package of three cheese tortellini, one 7 ounce container of Pico De Gallo, no red onion, no green pepper, no diced celery. I used diced cucumber, the imitation crab, I used the sour cream and mayo, cut the Italian-style salad dressing down to 1/3 cup, used only 1 T. lemon juice and did not use the oregano. I did use seasoning salt and pepper. I was suprised at how good the dressing mixture blended with the tortellini and crab. Will definitely make again. I am sure this recipe would be awesome as originally written.

Sharese's Spaghetti Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
I wanted a salad that used spaghetti in it and I found this recipe which was rated pretty high so I decided to try it. I used real bacon bits to simplify the recipe and added cheese crumbles instead of the parmesan cheese. My only problem was I used Robusto Italian Dressing which I think made it to tart. Using McCormick's Salad Supreme gives it the kick you would want so next time I will use regular Italian-style salad dressing. Everyone did enjoy this dish.

Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
I made this dish for a cookout over the weekend and everyone commented on how good it was. My only change was to add french fried onions on top instead of the potato chips. I think next time I will add some spices to give the dish a little zip, as I thought the dish was good but it did not have alot of flavor.

California Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
I made this dip for a cookout over the weekend and everyone enjoyed it. I did use only 1/4 cup of Italian and 1/2 cup of Ranch dressing per other reviewers, but I think next time I will use the amount stated in the recipe. I used mexicorn and subbed a can of pinto beans for one can of black beans. Next time I will also use more cilantro, as I think this herb is what gives this type of dish it's flavor. Also, I think it is better to make the day before. Will make again.

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
Absolutely out-of-this-world! If I could give this a "10" I would. Made this for dinner last night for hubby and I and we ate the whole thing. I did double the sauce and next time I will triple, as we loved the sauce. Served it over angle hair pasta. This will definitely go in my recipe box to make again. Thanks "Proudwife" for this fabulous recipe.

Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
I made this dish for dinner last night and my hubby and I thought this dish was very tasty. I used a little less garlic powder than stated, added pepper and seasoning salt instead of kosher. I cut the potatoes in small bit size pieces, placed in a zip lock bag and added the other ingredients to coat. Placed in a 9x13 inch baking dish, covered for 20 mins. in the oven and then removed the foil during the last twenty mins. I used pepper jack cheese for this dish. One I will make again.
