Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Great chicken, but I used this recipe mainly for the gravy-I could have eaten the gravy by itself! Mixed 1 egg, milk and some of the seasoned flour, and poured that "batter" into the plastic bag I had my seasoned chicken marinating in. From the bag, into the flour, into the hot pot-perfect! Gravy needed a bit of salt, so I crushed some chicken bullion cubes to add more flavor as well as salt.

Japanese Style Deep Fried Shrimp

Perfect shrimp! I mixed the flour with one of Paul Prudhomme's breading mixes, and added some cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasonings. Tender and crispy-again, perfect! Thanks for the recipe

Excellent recipe, and I have all those spices on hand. To clarify your own butter, just melt, chill and remove solid butter, discarding the liquid left behind. Kind of a shortcut, but it works.
