Corn and Cheddar Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
This recipe was just ok to me. I feel like the seasonings are a bit off or maybe it's missing something. I'm just not sure what. It's a decent recipe, but I think it needs a bit of tweaking.

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
This recipe was a big disappointment for me. They tasted like flour and salt and had a really odd texture. Very disappointing after so many good reviews.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
Goodness! This is a great soup recipe! The only change I made was to omit the salt and I thought it was still plenty salty. I may cut down on the bouillon next time and see if that helps. I will definitely be making this again!

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
These really exceeded my expectations. I made them as the recipe was written. Next time I will substitute bread crumbs for the saltines and use minced garlic to punch up the garlic flavor. Can't wait to make these again!

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I used low sodium soy sauce as the recipe calls for and it was still way too salty for me. However, the flavor was very good.

Easy Pleasy Mac N Cheesy - US Navy Style

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I guess I'm just not a big fan of the Velveeta flavor. Will definitely try this again using a different cheese.

Totally Tangy Baked French Fries

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
I loved the flavor of these fries! I used sweet potatoes and they were wonderful! However, as many others said, they did not get crispy. That was the one disappointment. I will definitely make these again!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
This is the best cookie recipe I've tried in a long time. Perfect combo of chocolate chips, peanut butter and oatmeal. I made them exactly as written and couldn't be happier with the results. I used my Pampered Chef cookie scoop and ended up with exactly 2 dozen cookies. Will definitely be making these again! Spectacular!!!

Quick Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
This was super quick and easy. I loved the fact that I made the whole thing in one pot on the stove top. I made a few minor adjustments based on what I had on hand. I made the mac & cheese using only almond milk (I prefer it to regular milk); no butter or margarine. I also used a cup of frozen peas (cooked in micro first) and a 6 oz pouch of tuna. It was a tad on the salty side for me, which I expected, so I plan on using lower sodium soup next time. I didn't have any french fried onions, but I didn't miss them at all. It was soooo good!

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This is a great recipe. I made a few alterations based on the reviews if others. I added 2 cloves minced garlic and a 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes while browning the ground beef. It wasn't quite spicy enough for me, so I may up the amount of red pepper or even add some jalapeƱo next time. I also doubled the amount of cheese (I used colby jack) and only baked it for 15 minutes. It was great the first time around and even better as leftovers!
