These are fantastic but they are even better when the glaze is made with medium dark Quebec maple syrup! :) I have used 1/2 cup of maple syrup and 1 1/2 cups of icing sugar and the frosting still turns out nice. If you want to experiment with the opacity or you want more of a glaze than a frosting, just use more maple syrup.

Rosemary Braised Lamb Shanks

A very "ok" (read: standard) recipe. Very nice, flavorful, cheap recipe. Love slow cooking cheap cuts of meat... you can eat like a king, with minimal impact on your pocketbook. Saved money can be used for important things such as: large screen TVs and beer :)

Very, very good recipe. Don't be shy to omit the crab. It's not really essential to the recipe and you can save lots of $ by not using it ;)

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

This is what I would refer to as soul food... I made this recipe with 4 boneless, organic chops and red potatoes (those thin-skinned ones that taste slightly "sweeter"). As long as you make sure to slice the potatoes thin enough so they will cook properly, this recipe is idiot-proof! (as demonstrated by me being able to make it, lol) I am a relatively slim guy that usually doesn't go back for seconds (or thirds) unless I am *really* impressed. This dish so good that I not only ran to grab another chop, I almost took a 3rd one! Such an awesome thing to make on a chilly fall or winter night... yummm!
