Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
The sauce went so well with the asparagus it was shocking! I baked mine about three times longer than mentioned and everything turned out great.

Butternut Squash Soup with Sage

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
I used Acorn Squash with this recipe. It turned out "nice" but not great. I think I would rather have it strained through some cheese cloth or something as it was overly textured. I think I will also add some more chicken boullion next time. The presentation was awesome and after the few tweaks listed above, this will be a holiday regular!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
As far as "non traditional" stuffing goes - this one is awesome! I had to use chicken liver instead of turkey and spicy sausage instead of regular which actually added a lot of flavor. Other than that, and the fact that I didn't place the mixture in the bird but rather in a baking dish in the over for 15 minutes, everything was done as the recipe called. Next time I will add mroe apples, which added a nice crunch along with the celery. Great recipe that I will use again!

Individual Chocolate Espresso Souffles

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
I thought these were actually quite delicious. I made a few changes, such as adding more sugar, baking longer and adding 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites instead of 4 egg whites. I also didn't have any evaporated milk, so I reduced some 2% milk for 15 minutes as a substitute. They did collapse after coming out of the oven, but were still great!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
Awesome Tiramisu! I always at least tripe the coffee and liquor mixture to soften the layers and it just doesn't seem like the amount in the recipe is enough. This recipe is a staple for every party we attend and worth the amouont of time it takes! Thank you!

Quick and Easy Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
The easiest and best clam chowder you could make! I make this during the holidays, and everyone is amazed! I do add mroe half & half than recommended just to give it that extra creaminess. I also make sure to add red potatoes, celery and onions. Thank you for a great recipe I have used many times!

Irish Cream Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
This recipe is FANTASTIC! The only thing I changed was using 2 tsp. Vanilla and 2 tsp. Kahlua in lieu of Irish Creme - it turned out just like what you get in a restaurant. I also didn't place the ramekins on a towel. Worth trying, you will love it!
