About this Cook
I am wife and proud mom of two girls. I love to read, cook, spend time with my family. I also do cake decorating as a hobby.
My favorite things to cook
So many to choose from! I enjoy decorating cakes for friends and family. I love to grill fish, steak, chicken.....and love trying new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a Christmas tradition of cooking appetizers to have during present opening with Mom's homemade punch, meatballs, cookies and candies. Christmas morning we have oven french toast with a homemade syrup and sausage dish, homemade fruit cocktail with a brandy sauce, hmmmmm.
My cooking triumphs
A triumph to me is any cooking excursion that tastes great!
My cooking tragedies
Oh boy. We have all had those. I made a dish that was soo bad the dog wouldn't eat it!!!!

Cake Balls
This is a great recipe...but I did make some changes...DON'T USE THE WHOLE CONTAINER OF ICING! This will give you a mess! Add 1/2 and mix well. Then add to your desired consistency. We like a little drier ball, like a truffle. I use the almond bark, a little bit of shortning to help with look when dried, and definetly try the Andies baking chips. Just enough mint flavor! Yumm!

Creamy Dill Dipping Sauce
This is a good basic recipe. I added some Grey Poupon Dijon mustard and some garlic powder to use with salmon. YUMMMMM!!!

Candy Bar Brownies
This recipe was ok. I cut the butter to 1/2 cup. When I put top layer of batter on I patted out in my hands like hamburger patties and layed on top. worked good. But brownies are too gooey in the middle and bland tasting. They are ok if you plop into bowls and eat with spoon.
