BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
This is the perfect recipe for BBQ pork. Truly, I don't much care for BBQ and I ate this as lunch leftovers everyday this week. It is absolutely necessary to choose a BBQ sauce that you enjoy, but this is a perfect cookinng method and it has the best flavor.

Cloverleaf Rolls

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
This was my first time making rolls and these came out fantastic!I forced myself to freeze some to keep from eating them all at once. The defrosted rolls were just as good as the freshly baked. If you are a beginning baker this is a great recipe to try.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Truth be told, I don't usually enjoy chicken marsala, but I thought I'd endure it b/c my hubby LOVES it. The flavors have always been a bit too subtle for me, but this dish is the exception. I really liked this dish. It was rich and flavorful; however if you are the type to enjoy a subtle dish of marsala this recipe may not be for you.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
This is a terrific zucchini recipe. I made the recipe as it was written. It was very easy and quite delicious. This will not be my last time making these tasty cakes.

Yakisoba Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
I didn't particularly like this dish but I gave it three stars because my hubby enjoyed it. I felt the sauce lacked sufficient flavor to compete with the strong taste of the soba(buckwheat) noodles. Honestly, with a little doctoring, I could probably make this more to my liking; however, I didn't like the base recipe enough to even try it again.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I think I may have cooked these a tad too long at 20mins, but slathered in vanilla glaze (found on this site)no one could tell they were just a bit too brown. This was my second time making cinnamon rolls. This recipe was far easier and the results came out far better.

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Sickenly sweet! I think maybe kids would like these, but an adult's pallet is overwhelmed---with this sugar on sugar experience

Seafood Bake for Two

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
This was wonderfully tasting and easily made! I eventually plan to serve this as a "company" dish. It tastes like a lot of effort, but took very little time for such a flavorful dish.

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I didn't particularly care for this. It was my first time blackening anything, and perhaps I didn't do things right, but it surely didn't taste like the blackened chicken I've had in restaurants

Vegetable Stuffed Cannelloni

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I only gave this recipe 4 stars because of the time it takes to prepare it and because the stuffing didn't look very appetizing. The honest truth is despite the time and the look it really was delicious. I probably won't make this again unless I'm really in the mood to be in the kitchen, but if you don't mind the effort, give this one a try.

Cube Steak Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I've only made cube steak a couple of times and felt the results were "ho-hum" at best. Recently, as things have grown more expensive, I thought I'd give this cheap cut of meat another try. I have made this twice since then. This has to be the most tender, and most delicious recipe for cube steak I have ever had. The only thing I changed was to use italian seasoned bread crumbs rather than the saltines and season the meat itself rather than seasoning the flour. Delicious!! Thanx!!

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This was the best cake I'd ever tasted! I'm positive those folks that gave this cake poor reviews did something very wrong! Don't believe them! I followed the recipe exactly. I have a history of making barely edible cake, so this was going to be my last time trying for real home made. Wow, with each bite, I'm amazed that I made something this good! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this recipe!!!

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
I'm not a big fan of vegetarian anything, but I've been trying to eat more nutritiously lately and this recipe makes it easy. I made this for dinner yesterday and it even went over well with someone who doesn't usually eat chili! I used only one can of chilli pepers, eliminated the jalepenos, and the black pepper and used my favorite super hot sauce instead. I also used diced tomatoes and tomato puree until the consistency was as I preferred. Oh, and because I'm a southern cook, I added sugar (to tatse)to take some of the tang out of the tomatoes. This was great and I expect the leftovers to be even more delicious today.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I just finished making this recipe and boy, do these taste some kinda good! I read the reviews prior to baking so I exchanged the shortening for veg. oil. I bumped up the taste by adding an extra 1/4 cup of peanut butter, an extra teaspoon of vanilla and I stirred in reeses peanut butter chips right before filling the muffin tins. I plan to frost them w/chocolate, but the one I just ate was w/out frosting and it was Oh, so good!

Quick and Easy Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
I really liked this bread. The consistency is much more like cornbread than bread. I followed the suggetions of others and reduced the sugar and used extra sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese for the extra flavor. We had it with tomato bisque, but I think it would be an excellent bread to serve with any soup or stew.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
I'd never made scones before but this recipe was easy and delicious! They seemed to be a little more moist than the scones I've eaten before...and I loved that! Thanks so much for the recipe.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This was absolutely unbelievably good. I followed the suggestions of others and poured the butter, sugar cinn. mixture on top and the mt. dew around the dumplings. I served this to an over night guest and had to fight her to keep her from taking all the leftovers home with her! I was wary of the addition of mt.dew, but was so very pleased with the outcome. Next time I'll probably cut the sugar a bit, but, as is, this recipe is one of the best I've tried from this website.
