Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
these were great! My kids love them. I've made them now as standard sized and mini muffins. My kids like the minis the best. They were very moist. I have followed the recipe to a T and they were delicious, but they are also delicious with my alterations. I've been making them for months now with 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of vanilla. I also add 3/4 cup of mini choc chips sometimes. But what I mostly like is that I use a combo of mostly wheat flour with a little white. I use the Splenda baking blend. I sub no sugar applesauce in place of the butter and I use egg white egg substitute for the eggs. They are healthier and just a delicious!

Chocolate Fudge Cookies

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
It doesn't get much easier than these cookies. At first taste I didn't think they were all that, but then I realized that I couldn't stop eating them.

Microwave Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I'm rating this based on time and ease to prepare. It's almost as good as my baked recipe that takes 4 times as long. I didn't have an onion and my kids are big on onion anyway, so I used onion powder instead to give it some flavor. My 3 kids and husband ate it up!

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
I've made these the past couple of years and everyone loves them. They are very rich, though. I've called them Oreo Truffles; I like the name Cookies and Cream Truffles. I have used the chocolate cream oreos as well as regular and even reduced fat oreos. They are all good! I usually chill the dough like others, melt the almond bark in my electric fondue pot to keep it easy to coat the balls, and then sprinkle with colored sugar or drizzle melted chocolate over them. They look and taste like you've slaved, but are very quick and easy to make! This recipe and Tiger Butter are my two Christmas staples because, as a mother of 3 children, I need to make large quanities or good things quickly for teachers and friends.

Tiger Butter II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
I got thie recipe years ago from a friend and everyone LOVES it. The only thing I will add that makes it even easier is that after it has chilled and it hard, I dump it out of the pan and break it into bite size pieces. No cutting needed and the "bark" look is great with the marbled top. Plus, I get to eat the crumbs after I've broken it all! :)

Chocolate Cherry Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
Turned out perfectly the first time. I made it in a Bundt pan, so the frosting did some puddling up in the middle, but that's the good part to scrape up! I took it to my church and everyone raved!

Lighter Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
Snickerdoodles are a favorite of mine, and these were great. I love the softness and the fact that they are lower in fat.

Butter Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2006
I had rated this 3 stars before when I first made it because the dough was too sticky for my press, but I just made them again and the dough was the perfect consistency. I think the difference was that I used the full fat cream cheese instead of the 1/3 less fat stuff. The flavor was good. My kids liked it.

Fruit Ball

I've made this for years for baby showers. It's always a hit. I don't use almonds, but roll it in toffee chips. And I serve it with ginger or lemon snaps. It's always a hit!

Fast, easy and good. Got raves from my 3 kids all under 7 years old and from my husband and parents. It was a crowd pleaser!

Creamy Veggie Fondue

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
VERY GOOD! I'm not a huge fan of cheese fondue, but I was asked to bring one to a fondue party at work and this one was perfect. Everyone raved about it. I didn't have any wine, so I used chicken broth as someone else suggested. Everything else was followed to a Tee. I liked the kick that the cayenne pepper gave it. I will do this again!

Easy Grape Salad

Nice, different. I took it to a brunch and was asked for the recipe. I think next time I will try it with peanuts instead (or without nuts for my allergic daughter).

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Yum! Great for a baby shower! update...made this for Christmas morning brunch and it was a huge hit! It does make a lot though. Great to take to a party. This time since strawberries and raspberries weren't in season, I used frozen and it was just as good!

Frijoles II

Not as tasty as I would have liked and although I soaked and cooked them all day, they were still not soft enough for refried beans.

Sauerkraut Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
Very good. Especially a nice Oktoberfest addition. Next time I will probably use small red potatoes (not canned) and perhaps add a bit more Sauerkraut (cause I love sauerkraut). All in all, a good recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2005
Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly except I rolled it in remaining chocolate chips since we have a nut allergy in the family. I took it to a gathering of friends on the 4th of July and not a bit of it was left halfway through the night. It was scraped clean! Definitely a keeper!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2005
This was great! A friend had made this dip before, but hers wasn't as good as this one. I used salad dressing instead of mayo...I just prefer the taste. And I was in a hurry, I didn't peel or seed the tomato, but it was still fabulous. I serve with melba toast or bagel chips. I made it for a group of friends and they asked me to make it again this month.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Yummy! I made 12 muffins instead of just 10. They are delicious and the topping is outstanding. I wouldn't change anything about the recipe.
