Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
I've tried many Banana Bread recipes on this site and this is BY FAR the VERY best one. It IS a huge recipe which you will need because your family will eat it like it's their last meal. Seriously that good! :)

Caramel Pie II

Love it! Love it! I boil my cans for 3 hours and 30mins. Turns out great. I like to coat the pie crust with melted chocolate and top with chocolate shavings.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
My husband loves these. I made three different Oatmeal Cookie recipes and this one was by far his favorite! They are soft and chewy with plenty of oatmeal flavor and not over baring with cinnamon. I made mine with QuickOats. Next time I'm going to try the old fashioned oats and see which he likes better.

Hand-Rolled Sushi

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
I love making sushi and this is a great recipe for beginners. A few tips: It is important that the rice is rinsed before it is cooked until water runs clear to get rid of the starchy flavor (like the directions state.)Another tip, be sure to cool rice at room temp and NOT in the refrigerator (like the directions state) or it will not be sticky like it needs to be. Also, I like to use "sushi rice" which is sticky. I also like to use "sushi vinegar" instead of white distilled vinegar. Again it's a GREAT simple recipe.

Apple Crisp II

Very yummy and simple. I cut the recipe in half, because I made it in a pie pan. Drizzled with a little carmel and topped with homemade whipcream! Yum!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I'm sorry to rate this a only three stars, but I didn't care for these. They are too heavy for my taste. My favorite pancake recipe is: 1 Cup self-rising flour, 1 Cup milk, 1 T. sugar. Ligh and Fluffy. You can play with and adjust flour/milk for thicker/thinner pancakes.

Yummy but doesn't stand out from any other recipe I've tried. I tried the Banana Banana Banana Bread Recipe, too. Both yummy. I'm just looking for a recipe that will STAND OUT!

Banana Banana Bread

This banana Bread was moist and yummy. I'm only giving it a four stars because it doesn't stand out from any other recipe I've tried. I thought that the V Banana Recipe was equally as good.

Muy Mother-in-law makes this all the time. My husbands favorite thing to eat. Best to make the night before so pudding has more time to set and flavors can blend!

Stromboli Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Very Yummy. I made a few changes. I made home made bread dough instead of store bought frozen bread dough. I used ham, italian sausage, mozz cheese, and american cheese. (My husbands a fussy eater.) Next time I will add the pepperoni, provolone cheese, and will fry onions with the sausage. The flavor from dusting with cornmeal is the perfect finish! Do NOT skip the corn meal! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Linzer Tarts

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
Made it and Love them. I didn't heat the jam, like one person suggested. Some off the tops slid off and jam kind of soaked through the top. I will heat the jam next time for a more chewy center. And keep the dough as cold as possible without freezing is key! Yummy and worth the work!
