Grandma's Sweet Hubbard Squash Custard Pie

Yummy. Made it just like the recipe, but also made my own crust. First time making a pie for me, and it was a success.

Egg Salad Sandwiches

Add some paprika and two cans of de-boned sardines and you've got an amazing creation. (You can also add a can of drained sweet corn to top this off)

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I used sunflower oil instead of olive oil, forgot to add bay leaf, added more celery, omitted spinach and instead of water used chicken broth. Results = best...lentil soup...EVER!

French Crepes

Very good! I substituted white flour for whole wheat and added raw sugar instead of white. These are easy and delicious with some sweetened cream cheese filling...mmmm

Man-Catching Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I didn't use veal (just regular beef and italian sausage) or Worcestershire sauce, so my review is somewhat inexact. Reasons for three stars: * meatloaf came out too loose, I'd like it a bit firmer * cook time is too long - it turned out a bit on the dry side * it ended up with too much fat drippings - you HAVE TO use very lean meat, my oven was smoking toward the end of cook time * 3 tablespoons of mustard gave it "too much mustard" taste

Bacon and Date Appetizer

I think it does need to be baked for longer than 10 min - I do it for 20 and they come out perfect! I made this appetizer twice and everyone loved it!

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I really liked the stew. Very hearty! Two points to note: 1. I'd like to try it with more vegetables, like peas, for instance 2. Be sure to take out the onions when you are done cooking, I tried eating them and they didn't taste very good in large chunks like that
