Spaghetti Sauce II

This is overwhelmingly good. I used this as a base and added more sugar, homemade onion soup mix, chicken broth instead of wine, lots more garlic and skipped the red pepper flakes.

Fluffy French Toast

Very good basic recipe. I used pico de gallo instead of tomatoes, frozen western corn blend with onions and peppers, 2 zucchini and chicken. I used a sal, limon and chile seasoning that is usually used for fruit.

Eggplant Red Gravy with Anchovies

It smells just like my grandma's house up in here. I was skeptical about the anchovies cause i know they didn't go into hers, but they do a whole lot for the flavor

Chae's Sassy White Bean Gumbo

I can taste this one cher, but dietary restrictions don't let me eat like this any more. Something tells me you have a recipe for gumbo z'herbes. I have come across some, but are a little too recipe-y for me. If the ancestors passed you something you don't mind sharing, i got a big pot for it. If not, i understand. Can't have maw-maw turning in the grave. :) peace sis

African Peanut Soup

if i could get an iv of this i would. cut the recipe in half, used creamy peanut butter, added a couple pieces cut up boneless skinless thighs and topped with the white sauce from fish tacos(sounds wierd but it's my new favorite sauce) instead of sour cream. Can't wait till I'm not stuffed to have some more.

I can't believe that I made this. I followed a combination of other reviewers suggestions, boiling noodles, adding chili powder. I was a little skeptical about the fish sauce (i tried it and I'm going to need to air out my kitchen) but this was good!

Butternut Squash Soup

Fresh Pea Soup

I wasn't wowed by the taste, it was just OK. I used boullion garlic powder and doubled the butter to make this taste a little richer. If you don't have a love affair with peas, pass on this one.

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

great cake very moist. the only reason for the 4 stars was that it was kind of hard to get out of the pan. not the sharp tangy kind of citrus flavor i hoped for but still a great dessert. will make again but with grand marinier like the another suggested.
