I cut mine a little too thin, came out crunchy. Also had to cook for 45 mins instead of 25.

Had to cook for 15 minutes longer than the recipe called for. A little salty for my taste but the family loved it.

Low-Fat Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
My soup very dark in color and a little thicker than I would have preferred. Perhaps I used too much cornstarch. I added a half cup of mozzarella cheese too. Served with crusty bread. Yum!

Made recipe as listed but added a 1/2 tsp cinnamon which was a little too much for our taste. Overall, very tasty and great consistency. Thanks!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
Used 5 granny smith apples, reduced water to 1/4 c. as suggested by others, few dashes of nutmeg, 8x8 pan, baked for 40 minutes. I let sit overnight, then reheated the next day, served with vanilla ice cream. Turned out perfect, no leftovers!

Lemon Bread

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
Good but not fantastic. The glaze melts. I made it a second time and waited til the bread cooled before added the glaze. Still, the glaze did not harden (like icing). Will try another recipe from this site.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
The directions could have been much clearer. For example, the sugar/lemon sauce begins to boil, then you add butter, but how long do you stir until sauce thickens? I stirred for 8 minutes and it still came out watery. Also, "whipping" the egg whites - I thought this meant with a fork or wisk but after 10 mins, still too runny. Was this supposed to be done with a mixer and if so, is cream of tarter a good ingredient to add? I put the pie in the fridge to speed up the cooling. The meringue shrank and formed dark drops on it. Will try another recipe.
