Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Very good. My only suggestion is be to make more of the teriyaki sauce mixture. It melts into the pork after about four hours and it is really so good it can be enjoyed with thai rice. I ended up adding more sauce and we loved it.

All Day Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
I changed this recipe based on the feedback and it was really good. I beat the one egg (not two) and then added in the milk, the cheese (I used a Mexican shredded cheese mix), salt, pepper, hot sauce and uncooked macaroni. I placed it in the crock pot and cooked it for four hours on low. It really does need to be stirred often or it will burn along the side (which it did when I left it along between hour two and three). I think not cooking the macaroni before is key - within four hours, the uncooked macaroni became perfectly cooked, not mushy. I added a lot of hot sauce throughout, as it was a bit bland. Good recipe.

Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
This was outstanding. The only thing I did differently was to start I heated up olive oil in the pot and used lots of real garlic. I'd also add in more broth. Great for several days.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
Luckily I read the reviews before I started and knew to cut down on the water and add more spice. However, I only added one cup of water, instead of two, cooked it for over an hour and it's still too runny. Next time I'll use 1/2 cup of chicken broth, another can of beans, and add in more spice and maybe a jalepeno. It's on the bland side. But, it's a good base for chili - just spice it up a bit and cut the water.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I'm just starting to cook and this is one of the best meals I've ever made. It was easy, did't require a lot of ingredients and tasted really good. I added two sprigs of fresh rosemary, one onion and a little Tabasco sauce. Parmesean cheese, also made it even more special.
