Butterscotch Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
The 9 x 13 pan is too large-the "fudge" was too soft, not like real fudge at all. If I hadn't lined the pan with foil, I would not have been able to get it out of the pan and cut it. I will not make this again.

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
This is Awesome! It tastes and works the same as the "commerical" biscuit mix. I used it for cobbler and for biscuits-it worked perfectly!

Wheat Crackers

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
After reading the other reviews-I used this recipie as a "base". I added 2 packages of dry ranch dressing mix and rolled them very thin. I entered them in the Calif. State fair and won BEST OF DIVISION!! I will be using this recipe and experimenting with other "add ins". When my daugher came home from school and saw the crackers on a plate, she thought they were "wheat thins"! This recipe is definatly a keeper!

Cream Cheese Spritz

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2003
Wonderful recipe! Sometimes I have a hard time getting it to stay on the cookie sheet, but it seem to depend on the temperature of the dough. I won 1st place with this recipe at our county fair!!

English Toffee

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2003
This toffee turns out perfectly everytime! Just be careful not to over-cook it. It's so rich and buttery! I won 1st place with it at our county fair! I used sliced almonds instead of slivered and also added finely chopped almonds to the top of the chocolate. This is now my #1 toffee recipe!

Cheddar Pennies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2003
Very good!! Not what I expected though, these are not like crackers you purchase in the store. I used my hands to knead the dough so it would form a ball. I made mine the size of 50-cent pieces and baked them for 20 minutes. I used cajin spice since I didn't have any white pepper. I also cut the slices, placed them on the cookie sheet, then used a small cookie cutter to make "cracker people". Next time I will add bacon-bits. I will use this recipe again! Yum-Yum!! OK, I added real bacon bits and they turned out fantastic! I entered them in our State Fair and won 1st place! I cut them out with a "doughnut holer" but I didn't roll them very thin. I love to snack on these!!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 9, 2003
It was good, but the banana flavor wasn't as extreme as I'd like. I added cinnamon too. The bread was very moist.

Melt In Your Mouth Toffee

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2002
The only problem is pouring the hot mix OVER the choclate chips-they DON'T melt. The toffee is really great otherwise. One of the best I have tried.

One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2001
It tastes really good, but I must be doing something wrong because it is not done in 30 minutes. It takes 50 minutes for this to bake. Has anyone else had this problem?

Chewiest Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2001
I think I over baked them. They came out a little hard. Once I added a few slices of bread in the bag I stored them in and they softened up and they were good. Very chocolatly! A good fudgy frosting would go great. I will try these again.
