This was a great recipe. I was a bit iffy about it when it was done, as the sauce looked very very dark and therefore questionable as to whether or not it would taste good. However, in the end it was quite delicious.
I used dark soy sauce for this, and the bottled minced ginger and minced garlic (so nothing fresh), and I added a bit more cornstarch mixed with water at the end before letting it simmer (because I like my sauces thicker).
