Fudge

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
I didnt have 3 cups of semi sweet choo chips so I used 2 cups of semi and 1cup of milk choco. Im glad I did because it was almost too bitter still.I think next time I will do it backwards 2cups of milk choco and 1cup semi sweet. I think adding a little vanilla ad other flavorings it could be even better. A great starter recipe though!

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Was ok. We enjoyed , but probably wouldnt eat it it over white chicken chili- very similar. I followed the suggestion of others and added the black beans. Definitely help give a "bland" soup more a little more texture and flavor. I thought it worked better as a dip for my chips than a soup.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Very yummy!! I went with the reviewers recommendation and used 1/3 cup of flour, with chicken broth I used to boil chicken as well as 3cups of heavy whipping cream, then added fresh diced carrots, cooked 1 cup of frozen peas and corn then added to mixture and brought to boil. Then poured in pie shell and covered with bisquick mixture on top (1cup bisquick, 1/2 c milk and 1egg) was delish! Will definitely make again.

Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Im not a bog sugar cookie person but, these were excellent. My daughter and I made up a this morning, they were easy, and delicious! I should have read others reviews who said to refridgerate the dough before trying to use cookies cutters although we made it work with a simple pumpkin shape. I sugared them before trying to move them with a spatula to the cookie sheet. That seemed to help keep them from falling apart in my hands. My daughter (AGE 4) just said" Mom, your the best cookie maker in the world" I wish I could take credit it for that. LOL thanks for the recipe.

Ian's Potato-Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
This soup is yummy! However I did take the recommendations of a couple other reviewers. I added 1/4 c veveeta and threw a handful of shredded chedder in. I also added two cups of heavy whipping cream. I thought it was a bit too thin...I also used my soup mixer to blend so my picky eaters wouldnt see all those fabulas veggies! Will make again!

Breakfast Burritos

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
Very good! I made a couple changes though, I scrambled my eggs and I had to use shredded velveeta cheese because that was all I had. Turned out fantastic! I think next time I will experiment a little. I think some onions and green peppers maybe mushrooms cooked with the eggs would make this even better. I also wonder how mayo (instead of beans) would freeze? With the bacon, I didnt really think the beans were'nt necessary with bacon. (Though good) I think one or the other (meat or beans)would be sufficient for this dish. These did not go over well with everyone when reheated the next day.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Fantastic! Will definitely make again. Love the sauce (chicken soup and sour cream) that makes it! Didnt have enchilada sauce so I had to use mild taco sauce (airing on the side of caution of how much) Turned out just fine. Also, I didnt have the 12in tortilla's I think mine or 8-9in but, I thought they were perfect especially if your feeding little ones. I gave this 5stars.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
I didnt care for this. I would just assume have lasagna or spaghetti not combined into one dish. I used ricotta cheese because I didnt have cottage cheese, I didnt mind the taste but the appearance of this dish once ready was enough for me to lose my appetite. My personal opinion.

Uncooked Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
I give this 4stars instead of 5 just because I thought this was a little rich. Very Good if you have a sweet tooth but, its not as light as the bananna pudding I grew up on. Very convienant and easy to make. I also mixed the banannas into the pudding then layered the pudding mix with the cookies.

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
3stars for a good starter recipe but, I took the advice of others and added 1can of sweet corn, can of diced tomatoes, a splash of lemon juice and used Beef broth before I saw that others were using chicken broth. For those who like a meatier flavor, Beef was very very good! Served over tortilla chips and some members of my family enjoyed it wrapped in a tortilla with a dollop of sour cream and topped with mexican blend shredded cheese. VERY VERY good! Thank you! Will definitely make again.
