Cracked Sugar Cookies I

I just made these cookies and they are very soft. I like them because they are not too sweet. I didn't have cream of tartar, but the taste was still great. I will try them w/tartar next time to see the difference in the flavor.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

This was excellent.. I had to add more sugar /spices to the apples to give it a more flavor able taste. I used the French pastry pie filling very moist and flakey...

Angel Biscuits II

I used 2 pk of yeast and added 1 tbsp of suagar to the yeast... then I followed the instructions as is.. These were the best homemade biscuits I have every had and they tasted as good as KFC... nice and fluffy and soft ... my kids loved them...

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I made this pie so far now, 4 times and everyone enjoyed it. I also tweak the pie, I added nutmeg and cinnamon and vanilla extract 2tsp to the pie and to my homemade pie crust. I cooked my crust for 15 mins and then I put the filling in the crust,then I just poured the syrup over the crust and and cooked it for 45 to 50 mins on 350.I'm allergic to fruit so I had my kids test it out for me and they at it within an hour ... Great recipe!!! I used the French Pastry Pie curst from this site. Using it for Thxsgiving....

Susan's Butter Cake

The cake was moist, but it didn't have any flavor, my kids were very disappointed in this cake.. This is the second time I made it and it was still bland.. I even use 1tabl of vanilla to pull the flavor out but it didn't work...

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

I gave it a five due to the changes I made.I did mix my butter first and then the sugar for about 5mins or so.. I added all my eggs at one time, then 1tbs vanilla, instead of using lemon, I used lemon emulsion 2teaspoons.and after mixing my flour and buttermilk, I added 1/2 cup sour cream and use three loaf pans.. It was very moist and had a nice lemon taste.. I made this last night and my kids and friends eat it up.. I took a loaf to work and I let you know what the verdict is on it.. but I couldn't stop eating it myself.. I did add powder sugar on top to give it a sweeter taste, but I don't think it needed it...

French Pastry Pie Crust

Made this last nite and put it in the refig and left the house and came back an hour later dough was very soft and easy to manage. Needed only a pinch of flour to roll it out very easy to roll. Nice color and very tasteful. This is so far the best pie crust. I did a chess pie with this crust. NICE!!!! I forgot to mention,that I used butter instead of shortening.

Chess Pie

Very good chess pie super sweet, and it takes longer than 50 mins to cook. I let mine sit in the stove and turn it off after the 50 mins..

Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Cake was very moist but the crust come off. I was able to make 10 mini loaves and I redid the cake and made with mini bundt pan instead... I agree that the cream cheese was too over powering for a pound cake put the taste is great...

Golden Lemon Pound Cake

very moist, I put extra lemon juice and lemon extract 2tbls .. I didn't used lemon peel,time consuming ... sub the lemon extract instead ... after taste is sweet but I will make it again... It does need extra flavor so it will not be so plain tasting..

Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

this cake was very moist and firm, when you cut the cake, it was so perfect. I had to pat myself on the back for this one.. My kids loved this as well, but the moist yellow cake the enjoyed the most so far... Used chocolate frosting but not from this site

Moist Yellow Cake

I baked this cake the other day and it was gone by the end of the night. My son is very hard to please and he really enjoyed the cake and kept telling me how good it was tasted like a real cake.. whatever that means.. but I will bake this cake again. I did mixed the ingredients until the batter was smooth an extra 1o-15 mins....The icing I used was the cream cheese icing...
