China Lake Barbequed Steak

I made this before I knew what it was...lol! I got the recipe from a friend of mine and the look on peoples faces with that first bite is always shock of how delicious it is! I do it a little different. I use low sodium soy sauce otherwise it's too salty and I marinade it overnight. Then I sprinkle garlic power all over the steak, slice a lemon in half and rub the garlic powder into the steak with the lemon half. Both sides of course ;)

Potato Dumplings II

These were pretty good...kind of chewy and like a pasta pancake. I only made them once...so I guess they weren't a HUGE hit at our house...but they were good.

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

HUGE hit with the whole family!! I used 1/2 sausage and 1/2 ground beef as other suggested and it added a PERFECT little kick! I also used extra sauce as suggested, but I won't next time as I think I would like it a litle drier....not a huge tomato sauce fan.

House Fried Rice

WOW!! I will never enjoy fried rice in a resturant again knowing that I am missing this! We LOVED it! I tripled the recipe and it was still all gobbled up! For the meats I used chicken with teriaki sauce and boneless pork glazed with chinese red sauce (ah-so sauce) I just baked them both in the oven together earlier in the day. I made the white rice at this time also. I changed the veggies a bit to my families liking. It was a snap to whip together at dinnertime. Now whenever I make any meats the leftovers go right in the freezer for next time I make this!

Easy Apple Crisp

Not a big hit at my house. My family thought the topping was too sweet/sugary and the apples had "no flavor." I used red delicious. Won't use this one again. (if I HAD to...I would coat the apples with cinnamon and a little nutmeg, use 1/2 the water, use less of the topping...and maybe a little more butter.
