Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2014
I messed this up because the cake had been in for a few min when i realized i forgot to add the coffee so i took it out and added it and put it back in. There is too much batter for one 8 inch round pan , u need two or just dont use all the batter. I thought the finished cake was too moist/had alot of moisture in it. Probably wont go with this recipe again. As far as flavor it was good

Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2014
I really liked this recipe. I thought it could be a little thicker but overall it was wonderful . Alot of people made changes that were not necessary and i hate it when people review the recipe after they have created an entire different recipe before even trying the original.

Rice Cereal Energy Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
These are very messy to make but worth the effort in taste! I used extra raisins and cranberries instead because dried fruit is expensive. I got bulk seeds for really cheap. I used sesame and flax (because flax is really cheap in bulk). I did reduce the sugar to just half a cup and they turned out really good. In the future I would like to substitute the corn syrup with something healthier without sacrificing taste. Any suggestions? I could eat the entire pan of these

Vegan Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Not the best but I don't bake vegan brownies so I don't have a base for comparison. The texture was not what I would expect from a brownie. All I did was reduce the oil and add soymilk but not enough that would majorly change the taste or texture. I am vegetarian and I had no idea that white sugar had animal bone char in it until I read a review on here. Ideally I would like to only use raw sugar but its not cheap.

High Protein Peanut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
I thought these were going to be good based on reviews but they tasted like balls of semi frozen mush. I wasted expensive ingredients. I guess I could put them in oatmeal or a smoothie

Jo-Ann's Power Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2013
Based on taste these were really good. The only thing I didn't like was that they are crumbly which does not make them a good "grab n go" bar. They were very easy to make and made the house smell good. I think folks are going a little over board with all the changes they are making considering they are already very healthy and there is very little oil in them to begin with. I added flax seeds and choc chips to mine. I will make these again!

Salsa Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
Very yummy. Per other reviews I omitted a little of the milk to make it less liquidy. It had great flavor and no other changes were needed. I also added garlic. Yummy. Thank you. very easy to make too

Brownie Torte

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
This was sooooo good. The baking time was perfect and there was no need to change a thing. It was chocolate heaven! I did make a little more glaze than the recipe calls for based on other reviews. Its like a thick, rich, decedant brownie only better

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
These cookies are delicious. No major changes (like some on here have suggested) are needed. All I did was increase the flour one half cup and added a little ground clove and nutmeg. These are the best cookies I have ever had. They were done in exactly 9 min

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
I made this with vegetarian chicken flavored boillon cubes that i got at the organic food store. Im trying to cut down on meat. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it was TO DIE FOR. The gravy mix was hard to dissolve but that wasnt a big deal. Thank you for this recipe

Delicious! Will def make again. I increased the flour to 1 cup and also added brown sugar. They are cake like but very yummy. Make sure you grease the pan well.....they tend to stick. I could eat the entire batch. Oh and I added raisins too

Mound Bars

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
These bars were a huge pain to make and didn't turn out. I did everything exactly like the directions explain. The coconut mixture does not spread well. The choc chips didn't melt well. I tried to melt them a bit more by adding some milk and heating on the stove and it turned into a giant hard ball of choc. It would not spread out so it's pretty much just lumped on in random spots. I won't make this again. It was for a friends birthday too.

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

This recipe does not need the half cup butter. That is the only thing I would change. Other than that I thought it was yummy. We ate the leftovers for 3 days lol

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
these were the best brownies I have ever ate. So moist and yummy. No changes are needed. I left out the walnuts just because I don't care for um in my baked goods. I knew when I licked the batter off the spoon that these brownies were going to be good. Thank you so much

Roasted Red Pepper and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I overdid it with the broth and my soup came out to thin. So in a seperate pan, I mixed butter, cream, and flour until I got a good creamy consistency and then i stirred it in real good with my soup..........it turned out great. This is a great soup to warm the soul in the cold winter months. Thanks!

Whole Wheat Maple Quick Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
This recipe does not need any modifications to make it "light" or "low fat". It is already a healthy bread and if you use sugar free maple syrup..... of course it is going to be bland. The maple syrup is what gives it flavor.

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
VERY GOOD!!! If you gave this a bad review, I think you did something wrong. I used spaghetti sauce and the mushroom soup (and I don't even like mushrooms) and it was soo good. Creamy and delicious. Do not leave the soup out. Oh, I added garlic too.

Very yummy cookies! No changes need to be made what so ever. FYI you can review a recipe without being a jerk about it. Just say if you like the recipe or not and why....don't insult. Be an adult!
