BBQ Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
very good..per suggestions of other reviewers, covered ribs for most of cooking time...don't omit lemon, strange, but it really adds a subtle taste to the ribs that is really delicious. used jack daniels's hickory brown sugar barbeque sauce..really good.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
would be great kid's dish, as is. my modifications, low sodium soup, added garlic and worchestire to meat, added pepper to dredging flour...next time will add mushrooms and some chopped onions to gravy. overall, pretty good and easy.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
this was okay. the italian sausage just overpowered all the other ingredients. be sure you LOVE italian sausage if you make this recipe. also, needed at least 2 more cans of broth or bouillon.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
tried this recipe twice...just didn't work for me...potatoes just never cooked evenly and cheese got hard...maybe if it was cooked, covered, for a while it would be more creamy and tender?

Soft Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
yummy! used real butter and dutch-process cocoa. cookies are like little cakes! confectioners sugar on top makes a great presentation, but if that's not an issue, leave it off. enjoy!

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
the best...tip: don't make pasta ahead. plan to have sauce and pasta ready at same time. sauce coats hot pasta and does not make a "goopy" mess like some reviewers have reported. melds together to make the perfect alfredo.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2007
VERY GOOD, MOIST CAKE. SUBSTITUTED LEMON CAKE MIX JUST BECAUSE I LIKE THAT FLAVOR COMBINATION. FOR EXTRA BLUEBERRY FLAVOR, NEXT TIME I'LL SUB SOME OF THE BLUEBERRY JUICE FOR THE WATER IN THE CAKE BATTER.

Texas Sheet Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
my grandmother made a very similar cake and she's from Oklahoms, go figure..great cake...i use Dutch process cocoa, not baking chocolate (use the conversion chart on the back of the tin of cocoa) and toast your pecans for extra flavor. who has buttermilk on hand? 1 tablespoon white vinegar or 1 tablespoon lemon juice added to 1 cup milk (let sit for 10-20 minutes) does just as well. great childhood memory cake and everyone raves about it!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
fantastic quiche! used 2 deep-dish pie shells and could have easily filled another...prebaked the pie shells for 5 minutes and the crust was perfect! also, used a combo of swiss cheese, monterrey jack, and parmesan. substituted fresh sauteed spinach for the frozen since i had it on hand. just came out great! will make again and again....thx clark!

Gets top marks for ease! Very good, made for my dad's 81st b-day and then took some to work....raves all around...for those who think it needs more chips, try using Ghiradelli double chocolate chips instead of regular chips...I'm a die-hard chocoholic and it was perfect!
