Jambalaya

This was really a good recipe. I did change a few things. Used chicken hips seasoned with Cajun Seasoning (salt, oregano, paprika, cayenne, black pepper) and baked. Then deboned. Did not have andouille at our town market so used spicy Italian sausage. cooked veggies as in recipe. after adding all ingredients back in (skipped chicken broth) and heated up. Added a pound of shrimp and turned off heat and covered til shrimp was just cooked. Served over rice white rice. Nice slow burn with the seasonings. oh yeah, skipped the file powder, did not hurt it

Angel Chicken Pasta

very yummy...altered as some reviewers suggested, using a whole 8 oz pkg of cream cheese (plus a little) a whole stick of butter, 3 cloves garlic, chicken broth to replace wine, and a pkg of sliced portabello mushroom. (using only one pkg of dressing). I salted the chicken before browning, will NOT do that next time. Because some other reviewers claimed it was bland, it does not need any extra salt. (I am a salter) oh yeah, this all went into crock pot on low for 7 hours...so great, i cannot wait for the leftovers

Gramma's Rhubarb Krunch

This was my great Grandma Roehl's rhubarb crisp recipe. It is easily doubled for a 9x13. It is great warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. So easy and so yummy. My husband begs me to make it. Also freezes well.

Maine Lobster Lasagna

made the recipe as written, however made it with homemade alfredo sauce (leftover melted butter, parmesan/mozz/cream cheeses, half and half, garlic and onion) . better than anything I've had in a restaurant! oh, I also used a red sauce on the bottom layer...mmmm

Chicken Chilaquiles

Entire family loved it. I followed recipe closely, did not layer chips on the bottom, as I used a big cast iron skillet to make it in, instead of casserole. Easy, delish.

Creamy Sage Butter Sauce

I used the pan drippings from a whole baked chicken instead of broth, added a little less butter, used some flour to thicken, added milk since I didn't have cream. (will try next time) put the leftover chicken into sauce, to have another meal (over biscuits!) so easy, and a nice change from gravy

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

I did bake in the butter, cut the sugar in half, and a sprinkle of dried herbs, (I think it was an Italian blend). Used it to supplement a meal when additional teen boys showed up for dinner. It was quick and every biscuit was eaten!
