Alan was this evening's host and had quite a challenge. He wanted to make jambalaya but he as well as a few others in our group (myself included) have major "eating spices" issues. Well, I personally think he pulled it off. All the proper flavor was
there with very little of what comes back to haunt us. Bravo!!
We ate and ate and ate. He was afraid he had made too much,. LOL! I reminded him who he was talking to - I can do some serious eating!! And I'm proud to say there was very little left over.
His boyfriend, Philip, made a very simple but great tasting Koren beef with broccoli. We all chowed down pretty heartily on that, also. It was so good.
To finish off the evening he made this great looking trifle with orange liqueur soaking in to the cake at the bottom. We all dove into this with the gusto it rightly deserved.
I'm proud to say we have a great little group. What was such a struggle to put together has morphed into great events to look forward to.
I will post a pic of the host as soon as I get from the person who has it. (wink)
Alan's Jambalaya - reflux-free!!!
