Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
I had my doubts about this sauce prior to making it - in the end, turned out beautifully! I left out the honey, but stuck with the recipe for everything else. Thanks for the recipe!!

Loved this recipe!! I blanched super sweet corn and halved cherry tomatoes. Fun recipe to take along to barbeques - kids and adults love it!

Jelly Bean Nests

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Had such a great time with these! Made them with my children for their pre-school Easter party. We used butterscotch morsels and chocolate eggs that have a pastel candy coating. They were such a hit there that I am making another batch now for our Easter dinner. Thanks for the recipe!

Alison's Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This is a very easy vegetable beef soup! Made for a friend that just came out of the hospital - perfect comfort food. I added two cans of V8 and used the best italian crushed tomatoes I could find (with basil added) for the sweetness of their tomatoes. Turned out perfectly. Thanks for the recipe. Will be using this one again.

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I made this for two different times for two different brunches during Christmas. One I made with Maple sausage and the other I made with regular sausage. Both casseroles dissapeared quickly, but I think the regular sausage went over better (I preferred the maple). I used the non-frozen pre-packaged shredded potatoes and they worked great. I did bake them for 30 minutes before hand. This is a great recipe to feed a crowd. Thanks for sharing!

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I made these for Christmas morning with my two year daughter. They were so easy (and fun) to make - though definitely messy!! I took another reviewer's advice and made them with 8 oz cream cheese. That was way too much icing - I ended up scraping most off. There must be a happy medium here. The dough and filling was fantastic!

Hoppin' John

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
My grandmother and mother have made Hoppin John for as long as I can remember, and this is just as good (if not better). I must admit upfront that I have never been a fan and only eat it out of tradition's sake. However,as another user noted it is wonderfully rich and thick. I did try something different this year and did not stir the beans into the rice and think that it turned out better (just looked better). Also, I'm not certain why you need the cheese. Thank you for the recipe!

Braised Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
My mother and grandmother made collard greens every New Years Day for as long as I can remember as these are just as good (if not better). The hamhocks are crucial to the recipe and I would suggest cooking them in the stock for at least an hour before putting the greens in. Thank you for the recipe! Warmed vinegar on the side is also a great plus!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
I loved this and I'm definitely picky!! Using the ziplocs are a great idea - makes for even distribution and easy clean-up. I will be making this again for cocktail parties. Thanks for the recipe!

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Very easy to pull together with ingredients already on hand. It is exactly what you would expect a 30 minute chicken recipe to result in. I broiled for the last 5 mins as well. Great for our 2 and 3 year olds!
