Crab Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
Good lunch salad. My suggestion would be to add the dressing to the crab mixture a little at a time until you get the coating the way you like it. Adding it all was just too much. Sliced avacado on the side is also good.

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2007
I have got to say this was easy and very good. I toasted the buns first and used double the amount of chili. Served it with onions and mustard on the side. Yummy. I will make this again.

Nita's Lamb, Green Beans and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
This recipe is very easy to make and very delicious too! The only thing I would suggest is to adjust the amount of green beans to your own liking. Thanks for a new quick meal!

Grilled Spicy Lamb Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2005
This is one of the most unusual and delicious recipes I have tried. You have got to try this. Totally yummy! Just make sure the pitas that you buy open up well. Mine didn't. Thank you Alan.

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2005
My husband wouldn't stop raving about this delicious recipe! The flavors are wonderful together! I did have to cook it longer because we like it more on the medium side. The only thing I would suggest is to put a little water in the pan so the marinade/drippings do not burn. I will definitely make again. Thanks!

Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
This is the first time I made this and everyone loved it! The hash browns to use are the Southern Style that are actually cut in small cubes. The potatoes should also be thawed before making this. Otherwise I am sure the cooking time would be double. The ease of preparation is also another thing that makes this recipe great!

Vikki's Red Bean Sausage

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
This is one spicy dish! I actually cut the spices in half and it was still pretty spicy. I guess it's the chile peppers. You can also cheat a little by using canned chiles. But I will make it again because it's soooo good. I had to cut the recipe in half because it makes so much. If you like heat this one is for you!

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
This is a very good and easy recipe. The first time I made this following the recipe exactly. The next time I made it I added 1-14.5oz can of diced tomatoes with the juice. Just delicious! Thanks, Eddie.

A Nice Slow-Cooked Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
First I would like to say the pork was excellent! Super tender. But I think the recipe called for too much liquid. Lori did note that you could cut back. I think I would use half next time so that at the end you could make more of a gravy rather than having it like a soup. Then it would be more like a pot roast. Yummy! It would be great with mashed potatoes. I'm not much for the pearl onions. My husband called them "onion balls". Sliced or chopped onions would work. I have never made a pork shoulder roast and this was great. Thanks for another great pork recipe.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
This recipe is VERY good. I think the reason it works is because it is basically being steamed not roasted. It says cover with foil and I take that to mean completely covered (sealed) not just a foil tent. It cooks quicker this way too and once you take off the cover browns up beautifully at the end. There are so much drippings for gravy it's awsome and delicous too!. I was leary about putting so much seasoned salt on the skin so I just put a little bit. The only thing that would be good is a rack in the pan to keep the turkey out of the liquid but it's still not a huge deal. I hope lots more people try this method. Thanks Robin

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
I tried raising the tenderloin up on a rack with garlic and water below as one user suggested. I think it did help keep it moist but when I went to slice it the breading fell off.

Very Easy Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
I made this for our Labor Day BBQ. We had my husband's family over. Nobody touched it. They are a picky bunch. My sister-in-law is allergic to strawberries. I think the rest of them (including my husband) didn't try it because it looked too gelatinous. Probably because of the pie filling. If I could find some pie filling that was more homemade looking they might try it. But over all I have got the say it did taste very good.

Lamb Stew with Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2004
I thought this recipe was great. My husband on the other hand did not care for it and he usually likes anything. I did add more tomato sauce and water so that there was more gravy and thickened it up with some Wondra/water mixture. That was good. Served over rice. Scaled to 6 servings. Yummy.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
I feel bad rating this recipe with only two stars being that almost everyone else on the site loved it. But our family just didn't like it. I guess it was the gravy. The chops were good and moist but the gravy was just not what we were expecting. I made it with extra thick chops that we couldn't finish but no one seemed to want any leftovers.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2004
This recipe has become a favorite at our house. The pepperoncini with the garlic are a great combination. I also love the ease of preparation. My only suggestion would be to remove the stems from the peppers and slice them in half before adding to the crockpot. Delicious!

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2001
This recipe was delicious! Here's a tip-if you want to make gravy with this add some water to the pan toward the end of cooking. Then when it is finished add more lemon juice with chicken broth or maybe some white wine for more liquid and then thicken with flour/water. Just great!
